Hi everyone,

If you don't already know me from the safehouse or the guide, I'm Fitz, one of the arrivals from the first transport. Prior to being here, I was a weapons and technology expert at SHIELD. Now, I’m a Pulsar engineer and, more importantly, an agent of Morningstar.

Recently, @ojiro.juniper approached me with the clever idea to kickstart some research and development efforts. We’re working on a way to bankroll this, and we’ll let you know how that develops in due course. For now, regardless of where discussions have evolved on the nature of organisation and leadership, we need your assistance with some big endeavors, both for the Displaced and Morningstar.

1. As some of you may know from the raids, Morningstar has a cache of unidentified weapons in its local store. We don’t know what they do, how they work, how dangerous they are, and so on, but I want to find out. So, let's discuss a plan: Any thoughts or ideas for how to approach the cache and suss everything out safely would be welcome.

Reckon we’ll need at least one colour-coded spreadsheet.
[ ***NOT JOKING ]

2. We could use a team of engineers for ad hoc projects. Presently, I’m exploring tech that could counter both the UNA and the creatures that keep popping up, as well as give us more freedom to act whenever trouble comes our way — all by my lonesome.

If this sounds like something you’re interested in, whether or not you have the technical know-how to get to work immediately, or you want to learn on the job, let me know. Can’t pay you in anything except snacks, but I can assure you they’ll be bug free.

3. Hi, this is Ojiro. In addition to the above, I also need an engineer for personal reasons, and I will pay you. I need someone with a lot of experience with tech as advanced as the standard here, preferably lots of hands-on engine work. Message me if you're interested!
Cheers.

― Fitz

[ Check out here for more deets on the cache and here for some OOC knowledge of what Fitz is working on personally. He’ll share details of the latter strand of work with any individuals wanting to form a geek squad c: For #3, interested applicants can just private message Ojiro on this post! I'll be throwing together a plot engagement incorporating what characters ICly suggest in the coming weeks! ]

Howdy everyone, I have some more follow-up on more stuff from the dreams, involving that huge spear I'm sure I'm not the only one who got half-killed by. It looks like I broke reality in few places around New Amsterdam. I don't know how else to put it. My apartment building is haunted now, and so is City Hall, the old safehouse, and the stadium. I have the full details for anyone who wants to speculate what the hell is going on.

[And everyone who wants one will receive a neatly put-together report. The top re-states what Ojiro did: "Took four birds off the spear and left them in the following locations: City Hall, my apartment, the safehouse, the stadium. Continuously sang a tune that gave me a pounding migraine." The next part collects evidence form various social media detailing strange occurrences around the four locations, as well as a few transcribed personal accounts from some neighbors.
  • Four locations around New Amsterdam begin to experience strange events. Some people report them as hauntings, while others claim they're experiencing some crazy hallucinations – though they aren't on any drugs to make that happen. These four locations are: Ojiro Sniper's apartment building, City Hall, the New Amsterdam Stadium, and the safehouse
  • [The hallucinations] vary! Some seem like ghost sightings, a dog sitting in a hallway that's all black, or they might see a pile of Vestica: Aeon toys that have been burnt and left smoking, only to turn around and find them gone. Sometimes the hallways get very cold, and then rapidly turn hot. Sometimes it seems like the building is on fire from the inside, but fine from the outside. Not everyone shares these experiences. All of them happen while someone is awake.

  • A new website tracking new urban legends around New Amsterdam went up around October 12. This website tracks a series of hallucinations that citizens of New Amsterdam experience. Aside from including stories about Ignis and Ardyn fighting, as well as monsters appearing and disappearing in droves, there are also numerous ghost stories and stories of involved hallucinations. These stories vary from the fantastical to someone believing their best friend is with them when they weren't all along.]

If you like authentic Chinese food, respond.
If not, our business is concluded and I have nothing to say to you at this time.

[ There's a pause here, let it be inferred that Jake is staring disbelievingly at Hei for starting this series of messages off this way. ]

let me do us all a favor and interject here before this guy can slam us any further down the rabbit hole because this isnt how we agreed to vet people. weve done a little reading up so we can skip intros from you guys, but ill start this off saying im sergei, 1 of 2 men you guys had a fun debate over a little while back

    You even type too much.

    this here is tak

Without watering my own thoughts down with pointless introductions, I will add this:
Whether killing us in police custody was the right or wrong thing to push for, it doesn't matter.
Decisions were made to threaten us over a very public network and you'll all learn that this was a mistake.
Our information, as well as our services, will not be extended to you in the future.
I may rethink this if I'm given appropriate restaurant recommendations, but in the effort of full disclosure...
    It's very doubtful.

great sticking to your guns there tak. point either way is it was a pretty fun read, not many better ways to get to know a community than reading their public discourse surrounding the incarceration of two guys when they have zero info. i like that balls to the wall approach of kill first, never ask questions later. reminds me of old coworkers. anyway if resnik, sky, alucard, kaldur'ahm, rider, grayson, argentum, rammsteiner, odinson, fighter, and kogane ever wanna do business, give a shout. im not as into threats.

Or getting to the heart of the matter quickly.
In any case, this offer extends to those who attempted to assist me during the festival.
    Your patience may be rewarded.

[ These come as a slew of texts from both implants, one after another, clogging the network with a bunch of bullshit. Replies will come from both Hei and Jake. ]

Hey again! I woke up feeling like crap and found my sword sitting on my chest. Which is weird, because I've been wanting it. I know I'm not the first person this has happened to. It's worth figuring out if there's any kind of pattern to it, so can everyone who's had it happen answer this?

I'm really hoping wish-granting is what's going on here, because there is some stuff from home I would seriously like to have right now.

    1. Date it happened
    2. Object
    3. How is it related to your current circumstances? Have you been thinking about it lately? Did you wish you had it at some point? Is it something you usually had on you? Just throw in whatever details you can.

Hello everyone! This is Ojiro. I've haven't been around much on online but I've been here since the very first mandatory safe house sleepover. I don't have much to report on the information front. If anyone's curious about the result of mission @keith.kogane headed to cure the last few infected stragglers, it went off without a hitch. Good work all around. Special applause for Noctis for a great performance as an injured person.[due to like, actually being injured, but he was a good sport about it.]

But that's not actually why I'm posting. The collaboration we've managed so far is really impressive considering we were all kidnapped and dumped on the street not that long ago. It looks like a lot of us come from backgrounds of doing hard, important work in our own worlds, with a lot of diverse skills and specialties. We're a weird set of kidnapees, but speculation isn't why I'm posting, either.

Given we're having another meeting soon (go vote where!! if you don't vote you don't get to complain.), it'll be a lot less awkward if we all get to know each other more first. Our various backgrounds and current circumstances understandably make us all resistant to passing out personal information, [remember Hafid's post?] so I thought we could start easy with a game: two truths and a lie.

If you've never been a drunk teenager before, it's pretty self explanatory. List two lies and one truth, everyone else will guess which is which. We can work up to two truths and a lie later.
