@leo.fitz ― 4 NOVEMBER 2511
Hi everyone,
If you don't already know me from the safehouse or the guide, I'm Fitz, one of the arrivals from the first transport. Prior to being here, I was a weapons and technology expert at SHIELD. Now, I’m a Pulsar engineer and, more importantly, an agent of Morningstar.
Recently, @ojiro.juniper approached me with the clever idea to kickstart some research and development efforts. We’re working on a way to bankroll this, and we’ll let you know how that develops in due course. For now, regardless of where discussions have evolved on the nature of organisation and leadership, we need your assistance with some big endeavors, both for the Displaced and Morningstar.
― Fitz
[ Check out here for more deets on the cache and here for some OOC knowledge of what Fitz is working on personally. He’ll share details of the latter strand of work with any individuals wanting to form a geek squad c: For #3, interested applicants can just private message Ojiro on this post! I'll be throwing together a plot engagement incorporating what characters ICly suggest in the coming weeks! ]

1. As some of you may know from the raids, Morningstar has a cache of unidentified weapons in its local store. We don’t know what they do, how they work, how dangerous they are, and so on, but I want to find out. So, let's discuss a plan: Any thoughts or ideas for how to approach the cache and suss everything out safely would be welcome.Cheers.
Reckon we’ll need at least one colour-coded spreadsheet. [ ***NOT JOKING ]
2. We could use a team of engineers for ad hoc projects. Presently, I’m exploring tech that could counter both the UNA and the creatures that keep popping up, as well as give us more freedom to act whenever trouble comes our way — all by my lonesome.
If this sounds like something you’re interested in, whether or not you have the technical know-how to get to work immediately, or you want to learn on the job, let me know. Can’t pay you in anything except snacks, but I can assure you they’ll be bug free.
3. Hi, this is Ojiro. In addition to the above, I also need an engineer for personal reasons, and I will pay you. I need someone with a lot of experience with tech as advanced as the standard here, preferably lots of hands-on engine work. Message me if you're interested!

Then I suggest making absolutely certain you know what they all do before you dane to use them.
And the sort of war you seek to wage — ashes don’t tend to languish in freedom as well as living men.
You will need to keep your weapons under lock and key, both to safeguard them from the UNA and any vigilante sorts that might take heart towards your cause among our own number or other’s.
But I would first consider if the war you seek to wage can be won with words over swords.
It is seldom those in power who worst feel the pinch of death.
I do not gather that to be your cause.

No, I wouldn't say it is.
I can't speak for the Displaced, but Morningstar has moved to restore human rights, dismantle the influence of corporate conglomerates, expose government corruption, and fight injustice in this world for over fifty years.
This war has been underway since long before the Displaced's arrival. Having weapons of UNA calibre ready, if we should need them, would be an asset, undoubtedly.
But the fate of these weapons is beyond my or Morningstar's purview. The Displaced helped win them, and they don't have to fight in that war, so we'll need to debate their safe-keeping or distribution again in due course. I hope you'll speak then, too, for all to hear.
[ and he doesn't doubt she will. as much as fitz is displaced, the role he has with morningstar takes precedent in his worldview. ]

[Honestly, she's offended. But that's what happens when you don't have dragons, she supposes. These weapons might very well be the equivalent of dragons.
And for that, the talk of redistributing them for unknown purpose does not sit well with her.]
To the victor go the spoils, yes.
But payment can oft be made in ways that do not include tools of war, especially if those people have no plans for such things.
Regardless, yes, you have my word. I will speak.
But my words will not reach those who might use these for ill, or otherwise selfish purpose.
If your cause is truly to dispatch terror from the people of this world, then sooner or later, you may find yourself needing to intervene against the wishes of the other Displaced.
I trust you know that, sir.

It's worth exploring. Thanks for the idea.
[ he's often narrow-minded in his focus on what he wants. in this instance, it's the physical assets and intelligence they contain.
a beat before he addresses the rest. ]
That I do.
[ in the abstract, he knows it. it's only that he hasn't been forced to make that call yet. the time will come, undoubtedly — and he'd like to think he'll choose Morningstar. duty over attachments. that's what it means to call yourself an agent. ]
I have a duty to my agents and the people we're sworn to protect.
[ this post marks a more open embrace of the role he's asked to fill. he and peggy hadn't known until after that first round of recruitment just how much they'd be given (and how much there is still to do). ]

It has been some time since I have been the adviser and not the advised.
[His other answer is less convincing. But she does not know him well enough to say as much.]
You do.
Let us hope you never have to prove your valor, in that regard.
