Hi everyone,
If you don't already know me from the safehouse or the guide, I'm Fitz, one of the arrivals from the first transport. Prior to being here, I was a weapons and technology expert at SHIELD. Now, I’m a Pulsar engineer and, more importantly, an agent of Morningstar.
Recently, @ojiro.juniper approached me with the clever idea to kickstart some research and development efforts. We’re working on a way to bankroll this, and we’ll let you know how that develops in due course. For now, regardless of where discussions have evolved on the nature of organisation and leadership, we need your assistance with some big endeavors, both for the Displaced and Morningstar.
― Fitz
[ Check out here for more deets on the cache and here for some OOC knowledge of what Fitz is working on personally. He’ll share details of the latter strand of work with any individuals wanting to form a geek squad c: For #3, interested applicants can just private message Ojiro on this post! I'll be throwing together a plot engagement incorporating what characters ICly suggest in the coming weeks! ]

1. As some of you may know from the raids, Morningstar has a cache of unidentified weapons in its local store. We don’t know what they do, how they work, how dangerous they are, and so on, but I want to find out. So, let's discuss a plan: Any thoughts or ideas for how to approach the cache and suss everything out safely would be welcome.Cheers.
Reckon we’ll need at least one colour-coded spreadsheet. [ ***NOT JOKING ]
2. We could use a team of engineers for ad hoc projects. Presently, I’m exploring tech that could counter both the UNA and the creatures that keep popping up, as well as give us more freedom to act whenever trouble comes our way — all by my lonesome.
If this sounds like something you’re interested in, whether or not you have the technical know-how to get to work immediately, or you want to learn on the job, let me know. Can’t pay you in anything except snacks, but I can assure you they’ll be bug free.
3. Hi, this is Ojiro. In addition to the above, I also need an engineer for personal reasons, and I will pay you. I need someone with a lot of experience with tech as advanced as the standard here, preferably lots of hands-on engine work. Message me if you're interested!

@angel.fortran
I can help both you and [Bad username or site: ojiro @ junipe]. I have a long...long history with weapon technology, and while I am still adjusting to the differences in this universe, they are not so large that I cannot understand what I am looking at with a little time.
to Ojiro specifically, the technology in my universe was more advanced then that of this one. My experience with hands on work depends on your definition, but my knowledge of machinery and robotics is vast.

Hi Angel.
Sounds like we could use your skills. Are you the engineering sort, a firearms operator, a programmer?

I've never fired a gun directly, but I could take apart a model and tell you how it was constructed, and probably how to improve it.

Have you thought about looking more into the implant tech at Vyonation and Giles Bell? Could be up your alley and useful for the lot of us, besides.
[ always thinking beyond the moment. ]
How do you feel about joining Phase 1 of the weapons identification programme (snappy name pending)? At present, I'm aiming for a group of us to make the first pass through, tagging everything we can with its suspected use and danger level on a colour scale from green to red.

[ But all implementation she could think of in regards to gaining any sort of power over the implants came up...nefarious, to say the least. All that information at ones disposal was dangerous in the wrong hands, or even the right ones without ample supervision. ]
I'd be happy to offer my weapon knowledge for your program. It would be nice to use what I know for reasons beyond rampant capitalism.

Sounds like you've got the spirit. Welcome aboard.
Any suggestions for how we suss what might go bang in a bad way and not a good one are welcome. We suspect quite a few are rigged to backfire.

I am going to assume that ideally you do not want to involve trial and error subjects while you troubleshoot.

Tracing the manufacturer's of particular interest as well, actually, since we'd like to know who supplies the UNA and how much they provide.

I’ll be in touch when we kick off the hands-on analysis.
