@leo.fitz ― 4 NOVEMBER 2511
Hi everyone,
If you don't already know me from the safehouse or the guide, I'm Fitz, one of the arrivals from the first transport. Prior to being here, I was a weapons and technology expert at SHIELD. Now, I’m a Pulsar engineer and, more importantly, an agent of Morningstar.
Recently, @ojiro.juniper approached me with the clever idea to kickstart some research and development efforts. We’re working on a way to bankroll this, and we’ll let you know how that develops in due course. For now, regardless of where discussions have evolved on the nature of organisation and leadership, we need your assistance with some big endeavors, both for the Displaced and Morningstar.
― Fitz
[ Check out here for more deets on the cache and here for some OOC knowledge of what Fitz is working on personally. He’ll share details of the latter strand of work with any individuals wanting to form a geek squad c: For #3, interested applicants can just private message Ojiro on this post! I'll be throwing together a plot engagement incorporating what characters ICly suggest in the coming weeks! ]

1. As some of you may know from the raids, Morningstar has a cache of unidentified weapons in its local store. We don’t know what they do, how they work, how dangerous they are, and so on, but I want to find out. So, let's discuss a plan: Any thoughts or ideas for how to approach the cache and suss everything out safely would be welcome.Cheers.
Reckon we’ll need at least one colour-coded spreadsheet. [ ***NOT JOKING ]
2. We could use a team of engineers for ad hoc projects. Presently, I’m exploring tech that could counter both the UNA and the creatures that keep popping up, as well as give us more freedom to act whenever trouble comes our way — all by my lonesome.
If this sounds like something you’re interested in, whether or not you have the technical know-how to get to work immediately, or you want to learn on the job, let me know. Can’t pay you in anything except snacks, but I can assure you they’ll be bug free.
3. Hi, this is Ojiro. In addition to the above, I also need an engineer for personal reasons, and I will pay you. I need someone with a lot of experience with tech as advanced as the standard here, preferably lots of hands-on engine work. Message me if you're interested!

[ 76 is a little sore that Gaby had opted to tell him next to nothing about the new safehouse locations, believing that he'd compromise them somehow, but maybe Fitz here will be more forthcoming. He seems curious about his experience rather than skeptical of it, so that's one step in the right direction. ]
I don't know what the variety of weapons you've got are, but yeah, that would make sense. Trios would probably work best. One person to handle the weapon, one person to observe or intervene as needed, and one person with some kind of shielding or healing ability, if we've got any of those.

The old went boom, so I'm referring to the new ones the lads have sorted for everyone.
Sports bar and hoverbike garage, just for the Displaced. Not sure which one's meant to be operational or what the plan is. Carter and I run the local Morningstar effort, but Markus Manfred and Stephen Strange run point on the Displaced safehouse endeavour, if you have questions.
[ best to keep things separate, in that way. ]
That seems sensible to me, too. Apparently, we have at least one healing ability in Kovacs. [ Johnny, too, sort of, but Fitz doesn't know if that's public. ] Griffin and Strange are also medics. Could ask them to standby. Defence wise, Markus has shielding. I've got a portal ability that could redirect any debris. The last survey showed primarily offensive or, hm, simply less relevant, manipulation-oriented powers, I suppose. Course we can see if any Displaced who've arrived since then are of use.
[ hello you've reached nerd siri supplying more info than literally anyone asked for ]

[ He's met both of them already, so it won't be difficult to drop a line for extra coordination. One way or another, Jack's stuck with this group, and he'd rather stay in the know where he can. Especially when it comes to topics like safehouses and weapons caches. ]
I'm not sure if either of the medics are going to be on board from the looks of things, but that's fine. I have ways around it. I don't know what my new power is here, but it shouldn't get in the way of anything.
Once we have a solid list of volunteers, we can start putting together groups with complementary skill sets.

[ a politer counter. he knows stephen and clarke well enough to be sure they'd never leave the displaced in trouble. ]
I'll mark down your power as unknown as well. Shouldn't be trouble, as you say. If it were reactive in an unfortunate manner, you'd likely know already.
As for the rest, I agree. Based on other responses and my own thoughts, we'll need lists of individuals for Phase 1: Scoping, Phase 2: Research, and Phase 3: Testing.
Just checking — you're saying you'd be willing to weigh in on the composition of testing teams, correct? Reckon I know 90% if our population's skills by this point, so I can provide shorthand info for names unknown to you, but your knowledge of team tactics could be vital to playing this smart.

It's frustrating that he hasn't figured out his power yet, but that's something he can work on in his own time. Not that he really has a clue of how to trigger it, when it could apparently be anything.
This guy is assuming a lot about Jack's experience from a simple text conversation, but he's not exactly wrong. It just makes him wonder at how he comes across when he's supposed to have left this all behind. ]
I can offer my input if you want it, I just need some dossiers. Nothing too detailed, since I know that would take a while.
But I'm mainly interested in testing.

Noted.
I'll get back to you if and when we reach that stage.

DONT DO ME LIKE THIS TIME IS A CONSTRUCT
Everything else depends on how the initial scoping and research phases go.
i'm sorry for him lmfao
Makes sense. Just needed to know when I should be checking in.
[ It's longer than he'd like, but deep down, Jack knows how long this kind of planning can take. He just wants a gun. ]

Monster attack; mysterious fire, murder, and accompanying epidemic; UNA raids; dreams made real.
We're overdue for trouble.

If we're due, then that's even more reason that we should get weapons into the hands of those of us who have the training to use them. Do you know of any other ways?

We have safe equipment, if the time comes.

Got it. I'll check back in with you in a couple weeks about the testing, then.
