Since the vast majority of you aren't used to being worshiped- you know, being erected shrines, answering prayers etc. etc.- I'd like to pose a philosophical quandary.

To those of you consider yourselves human: Are you still human? Or has time here, our arrival here, made us something else?

To those of us that aren't human, I'd like your thoughts as well. I'm in that bucket of course, and my perspective may not entirely align to the mortal crowd.
True or not, it's something to think about in the way that we conduct ourselves.

Murphy, I know why this bothers you. But this isn't a lie that we told. This is a story that they came up with themselves based on evidence that they had, and now we have. It's not Sanctum. We don't know the truth of what's happened to us, but we're not spinning a con in any way.

How do we stop them from believing it when it might actually be the truth? We're not tricking them, or offering to be their gods, or using them. Conflating what Stephen and I came up with to explain our powers—which is more of a "this is what we've been told and it's the only answer we've been given"—with what Loki's suggesting here isn't a good idea.

He's suggesting that we've been changed. That maybe what's happened to us isn't easily explained away. This is about us, not the people out there who have an answer for us based on things they know from this world.

No, you're still Murphy, just like I'm still Clarke. And I know the latter of which is loaded, but let's move past that.

Loki, in his own way, is trying to point out that we're not grappling with what's been done to us. What we might be now.

That doesn't mean we're gods, or that we're worthy of worship. Just that we've demonstrated powers that, on certain scales, can seem to be fitting of the definition of gods.

Do you remember being taken from our world to this one? Do you remember the neural implant being put into your skull? Do you remember anything before we woke in this situation?

There are any number of times we could be "touched" in that sense, without knowing it.

and we don't know enough about any of them to be agreeing with theories about them

Those people are not worshipping us as individuals, they are worshipping gods that they believe have chosen us. We are conduits and nothing more. As far as we know, they are not wrong or right, we have no proof. There is no purpose in trying to convince them otherwise. Until we have proof that says they are wrong, they have a right to their faith.

The question of this post is whether or not we have been changed. I am no scientist, but I think physically we must have. We were not capable of any of this before, so something must have been added or changed in us to make it happen.
