Since the vast majority of you aren't used to being worshiped- you know, being erected shrines, answering prayers etc. etc.- I'd like to pose a philosophical quandary.

To those of you consider yourselves human: Are you still human? Or has time here, our arrival here, made us something else?

To those of us that aren't human, I'd like your thoughts as well. I'm in that bucket of course, and my perspective may not entirely align to the mortal crowd.
True or not, it's something to think about in the way that we conduct ourselves.

well for example that i'm an ex-convict who flips burgers for drinking money not their god's chosen avatar or whatever they're trying to say

I said there's the possibility that you're no longer human.

But it does, or we wouldn't be here talking about this right now.
You say they're being tricked, but we don't have anything else to offer them in response. Arguably their history is sprinkled with people of the same ability, and their former leader spoke with surprising confidence of our position in this world.

So, what then?

they didn't MAKE us something

because what we're talking about here is whether or not to follow through with the con

i met a man once who named himself the god butcher

he had decided that the gods did no good, because despite their power they did nothing to help the mortals who prayed and hoped for their intervention-- instead of working to help themselves.

and so he set about killing them all, one by one


he believed the gods themselves were a con, and i am not so sure that he was wrong

so now let's consider what happens when we let these people worship us and we can't actually answer their prayers because we're not what they think we are

how's that gonna work out for us
