So, this was Jyn's idea, but since I'm here in the sim and have eyes and ears on things, guess you'll have to deal with me.

I think most of us want to take the UNA down a few pegs, to say the least, and we have an opportunity to do that now. Pretty much all of New Amsterdam is stuck in here with us, and they've got to be scared and pissed that this has happened to them. They're not used to this kind of thing, not like we are. If we can convince some of them of the truth, which is that the UNA is to blame for all of this by keeping Judas captive and using him for years, maybe we can finally start to change public opinion about them.

It may not help us get out of here. I know other people are working that angle. But while we're stuck in here, we may as well make the most of it.

I know some people have already been trying to appeal to New Amsterdam's citizens, to influence them or inspire them. [ Operation Hope. He's not willing to even use the term, but he assumes people will know what he means. ] We may not have access to any of our solid proof here, but if you have any personal accounts or information to share to give your claims more credibility, then spread that around.

If anyone wants to post something on the local network to get the word out, be my guest. I'm not much of a public speaker, and I'm sure there's someone else better suited to it.

Morningstar has footage I took from inside the New Beijing headquarters. When we got Judas.
I gave it to El after we got back, and ze spread it around as a way of inspiring Morningstar agents.
It should be enough to prove that they had Judas there, and almost everyone was in scrambler masks. You just have to crop out anyone who wasn't.

It's hard to build up hope in others while you're tearing something down. That's not to say that I think this is a bad idea. One of the things in a world like this is that people will be willing to uphold the status quo if they think there's no point in going against it.

So, the question is: how do we make a positive message out of this?

I think there can always be a positive spin to pulling the wool from someone's eyes. People don't usually like being lied to.

What was the UNA using Judas for? Why is it so important to take them down?

They had Judas captive as their personal AI for hundreds of years. I don't know exactly what they used them for, but since they're a global army that's more or less uncontested in this world, chances are it wasn't anything good.

Which I think answers your second question. They recruit people into their ranks young and strip them of their identity so that they function almost like a hive mind. The people of this world see them as the good guys, which is also never a good thing.

That means we have to tell them we're not from here. Is anyone prepared to do that? If we start talking about being from other worlds, they might just assume we're out of our minds and write the whole thing off.

This lines up nicely with some of the things we are attempting to do outside as well. There are several efforts to pin the blame on the UNA and convince people they are not infallible.

If the city of New Amsterdam itself comes out of the simulation with a similar outlook, the more credibly on both ends.
