Hello everyone,

Unless I’ve missed something in the past hour or so, it seems like our network hasn’t been compromised by whatever has caused this massive security failure. I have at least five messages in my inbox that I’m certain aren’t for me, but everything seems clean here.

I think, as the group of people with the (apparently) only properly functioning network (and various talents, in a manner of speaking), we’re obligated to use it to organize ourselves and assist. The entire city is facing more problems as a result of this breach than I’ve ever seen before from one event. If you’re not particularly interested in helping those that could be trapped in cars or victims of accidents right now, consider that the external temperature has been rising. I don’t know about everyone else, but I’m personally certain that once it gets around 55C I’m going to start dying.

The network has apparently been used before to coordinate teams of Displaced, let everyone know what’s needed and who to meet with, and I suggest we do it again. I’ll keep an eye on this and provide hotlinks to pertinent discussions, so anyone with particular skills or interests can volunteer themselves.

Stay safe everyone. Don’t spend too much time in the heat without decent protection, you can only help so much if you pass out in the middle of it.

[ if that doesn't instill confidence what will? pshhhhh. but brace yourself for him turning up at your doorstep. he's looking much better, but the cut across his face and the ones on his hands aren't totally mended yet. ]

[ when damian arrives, fitz is walking someone through hotwiring, but he tags max in to jog over (and leaves markus in charge of gear), already outfitted in his own tactical blacks (gun at his hip). one hand finds damian's shoulder immediately, squeeze reassuring as he checks the other over. ]

Hands up.

[ soft but firm. show him the damage. ]

[ It nets him a roll of his eyes, and he makes a show of pulling his gloves off, but he holds them up obediently. They're not flawlessly healed, but they're manageable. ]

Kara is coming with me, I've already promised to defer to her judgment.

[retravel]

[ brows lifting. well, isn’t that something. Luckily, Damian allowing the requisite fuss mollifies Fitz’s protective instincts. ]

She’s awfully clever. [ CASUAL as he grabs the relevant gear for Damian. ] Reckon you’re in good hands.

[batricide]

She is.

[ praising.... another human....... he doesn't look at fitz as he looks over the equipment given. ]

[retravel]

[ w o w kiddo. he claps a hand on damian’s shoulder, mouth quirked. amused, definitely. ]

Both of you get back in one piece, then, or I’ll never let you hear the end of it.

[ and that’s a guarantee. ]

[ a withering look. ]

I'll [ 'be fine' is not something he's allowed to say anymore with how many times he's been wrong ] return unscathed and ensure she does too.

[retravel]

Good. [ a parting squeeze. ] I know you will.

[ which might have similar meaning to: “thanks and I trust you to handle this.” ]

I’ll be heading to the pyramid with the last group. You know how to reach me if you need me.

[ now it's his turn for a worried look. even if fitz has proven himself plenty capable, even if he plans to undertake the same thing. ]

... Be careful.

[retravel]

[ the smile slips, overtaken by something far more serious (and soft). worry is attention is care. fitz understands that better than most. ]

[ a glance over his shoulder, where he’s being called back to help. he lifts his hand in mock salute. ]
