@abel.navigator

Hello everyone,

Unless I’ve missed something in the past hour or so, it seems like our network hasn’t been compromised by whatever has caused this massive security failure. I have at least five messages in my inbox that I’m certain aren’t for me, but everything seems clean here.

I think, as the group of people with the (apparently) only properly functioning network (and various talents, in a manner of speaking), we’re obligated to use it to organize ourselves and assist. The entire city is facing more problems as a result of this breach than I’ve ever seen before from one event. If you’re not particularly interested in helping those that could be trapped in cars or victims of accidents right now, consider that the external temperature has been rising. I don’t know about everyone else, but I’m personally certain that once it gets around 55C I’m going to start dying.

The network has apparently been used before to coordinate teams of Displaced, let everyone know what’s needed and who to meet with, and I suggest we do it again. I’ll keep an eye on this and provide hotlinks to pertinent discussions, so anyone with particular skills or interests can volunteer themselves.

Stay safe everyone. Don’t spend too much time in the heat without decent protection, you can only help so much if you pass out in the middle of it.

While we're talking about messages, I got something we might want to take a look at.

[ message.txt ]

Can't reply to it. Maybe someone more tech-savvy than me can trace it back to sender.

Sounds an awful lot like the creatures from the end of June. Myself and [Bad username or site: kylo @ ren] had theorised they were engineered after their samples returned genetic markers for multiple species.

Looking at the dates suggests that the discovery of the new reptiles would have happened around the time of the first attack, correct?

"Biologically unsound". That is certainly a choice of words.

Timing wise, it sounds like they took their new discovery for a test drive.

It would depend. The initial beast that broke through the wall was quite large, but that doesn't preclude the possibility.

Or someone used their genetic material as a basis for the larger beast.

Either way it's a shame we can't get down there and have a closer look.

Well, now would be the time.

If we weren't about a week away from the city melting down without that pyramid.

Transport out of the city is never that easy.

( he thinks of the trip to new tokyo. he hadn't been directly involved but going off what peggy carter had told him it hadn't been easy. )

Still, this could be useful it's just a matter of figuring out how.

Long term goal, then.

We can add it to the list of unknowns we're chasing around here.

What happened there? How did you two get a sample?

A giant creature stormed the city and then released hundreds of smaller creatures from its body. Quite unsettling.
In the aftermath, we found a carcass and made quick work of it.
