I'm a fox demon. Morals aren't my area.
jinshi: (in a way aren't we all responsible)

You're not familiar with foxes?
Well, regardless. I'm a type of monster from Japan. We don't share your human concepts like morality.
The very core of my nature is violence, so I see no reason to protest.
jinshi: (thinking about how staplers)

I see... Hm. I've never had to explain to someone not of Earth.
As a point of comparison, much of my kind tends to eat humans, or at least kill them for the enjoyment of it.
We have little concern for the lives of our own kind, too. But most youkai will consider humans enticing prey.

For example, certain foxes are known for possessing humans or shapeshifting into their image in order to infiltrate a community. Some will use that position to devour unsuspecting humans. Others prefer to greedily amass riches. We're a vain sort, you see.
I'm not the possessing type, since my nature is violence. I simply waged battles against human armies and warriors, back when I was a wild fox.
Does that make it clearer?
jinshi: (i did what i needed to do to survive)

Foxes? Not a great many. We're solitary, too, so I've met very few myself.
Monsters? Certainly.
But we would be here an eternity were I to detail every manner of youkai and spirit that existed in the world.

It's dreadful, actually.
My kind aren't supposed to live among humans. Youkai live on the other side, a place hidden to mortals. I'm not meant to get involved here.
Six hundred years ago, when you all lived in quaint little villages, it wasn't so bad. Our numbers were about even then, too.
But you've changed.
We don't change.
