Have you tried throwing the interface? Putting on something solid. Might make it easier to interact with if you're used to your keys being hard copy.

When you're looking at the interface it's kind of like it's in the air in front of you, right? You can grab it and push it onto a flat surface. A table, a wall, whatever's easy. Then you can "type" on or read off of that surface instead of reading the backs of your eyeballs.

They absolutely can.

I've seen tech like it before. It isn't standard where I'm from, but it exists if you're rich and lucky enough to get your hands on it.

Some of it's creepy familiar, actually. The core planet of the planetary system I was in before this was mostly water, too. Hopefully the terraforming efforts they've got going will be more successful than ours.
