@kyna.medina

so everyone knows shit sucks right now
since i've been here i've seen a lot of talk about what we should do, but it seems like everyone has a different idea
some people want to start superhero teams and some people want to require training for everyone new who shows up
some of us want to go public, some don't, some people trust morningstar and some people think they're shady
some people are just saying "fuck it" and think we should worry about ourselves
you know, all that shit

so i guess i just wanted to crowdsource
get everyone's thoughts in one place or whatever
because it seems like fucked up shit keeps happening and since i got here, it's getting worse

this is probably going to start a whole argument about how much responsibility we even have when we've just been dragged here without a choice
or people saying no one should expect us to act as a group but
idk
here's your chance to be all opinionated
go

I don't think he's dangerous. I just think he's an asshole.

Yeah, sometimes.

I'd ask if you got anything out of it but I can see Castiel actually asked you some questions.

[ Thank you Castiel... thanks. ]

On which note, if there's anything to take away from the last few days it's that we need to make more than the basic information about Morningstar readily available to new arrivals if we're going to avoid having another two on two argument be characterized as an entire shadowy organization vs. anyone who dissents.

Morningstar has a write up with Rey, yourself and El listed as contacts for questions in our new arrival's guide but it doesn't include information about El or any of the finer points of the Displaced's history with Morningstar. It seems rare that people reach out to any of you to ask those questions when answers aren't readily available. I'll look into it.

To tell you the truth, I preferred the lull in there where people didn't think about us much one way or another. Some of you have done good, don't get me wrong. But the whole accusations bit was old months ago. I didn't miss it.

But a little write up in there won't hurt.

It should nip the next bout in the bud with any luck. We'll see.

Probably wouldn't hurt for them to know what our role in all this is, other than helping them assimilate to the world. Especially since you all have the bigger role in that.

Yeah. Along with some pertinent details, like what not to mention if they bump into any Morningstar agent other than you.

Frankly? I'm surprised that hasn't spilled out yet.

Are you saying your group isn't fond of recklessly creating opportunities to fuck things up?

I'm not sure fond is the word. But no. I'm saying I assume the relative lack of an immediately obvious variety of Morningstar agents in uninvolved Displaced's lives of late has been a significant mitigating factor.

Those of us who know who, what and why to tell haven't, and the rest haven't had enough information or knowing access to leak either accidentally or on purpose. The fact that it's biting in the ass with another round of paranoia bingo tells us that's not a functional longterm solution but better it took a couple of headaches than the accidental dropping of a truth bomb to teach that lesson.

I can joke, too, Stephen.

You're right, though. We've been lucky thus far. Let's not fuck it up.

[ oh. ]

Sorry. So used to a tough crowd, I've become one.

Amen to that.
