it is! there's a place i've heard near home that is similar to this, but i don't remember ever going. is this very different to your home too?

I would appreciate that, if you don't mind.

It's not different in some ways - we have a few large cities where I come from - but it is more, shall we say, technologically advanced than the world I know. There have been developments in the electronics part of things that we lack in Thedas. Most likely because people will just use magic for some of those things.

Not everyone from my world is a mage. I've got no magic, for one.

But some people are gifted in that way. Or cursed, depending on your perspective.

A lot of people are afraid of magic.
Some mages are dangerous, violent, or mad, which doesn't help.
Everything in moderation, I think. At least when it comes to this debate.

I'm sorry for war of any kind.
Even (or especially?) if it's ill-founded.

The war between mages and templars - magic users and their sort-of guardians - was brutal.
There were far too many refugees as a result.

Things could always be worse. We had no war with robots, at least?
Not yet, anyway.

There aren't. The last world I was in had them.
They have therefore always been awful, in my experience.

I left that place and was immediately brought to this one.
