In light of the trip to Mt. Everest some of you seem to wish to undertake, and with consideration for how preciously few of us are trained medical professionals, I have decided to offer a first aid course at the Safehouse.
I will strive to make this as extensive as time will allow it to be, and anyone – regardless of their stance regarding mountaineering – is welcome to attend. You never know when this kind of knowledge might come in handy.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask them here.
ETA: [Bad username or site: clarke @ griffin] asked me to add that those interested in the trip to New Oslo might wish to consider learning the basics as well. I believe she is quite right – the fewer risks we take, the better.

I might make it a habit, if the demand is there. So unless you plan on heading up Everest, there is no rush.

[He once shut down her desire to learn by implying she wasn't useful to their cause, so ...]
Can you add a note that this might be useful in New Oslo, as well? We don't know what we're going to find there.

⟪ but never mind that. ⟫
I'll add a note. Truth be told, I am less concerned about New Olso –– I'll be there myself, and I saw that you mentioned something along those lines in the other network post. That makes at least two trained and tried medics.

What level of first aid? I have some basics already, mostly for the field and combat.

⟪ especially not one who seems to... actually be a little more capable on the emotional support ends of medicine. he's said he's seen the second world war, she doubts he had the downtime (or the lack of focus) to do a lot of handholding, but he can probably say a word or two about dealing with shock. ⟫
Do you intend to go to Mt. Everest or New Oslo yourself?

I'm sorry, I left my credentials back at the base.
⟪ okay, no, serious response: ⟫
I completed medical training roughly fifteen years ago and have, research and leading a programme to develope a vaccine against a global pandemic aside, worked as a medic whenever needed for about as long. Most recently, I was the only qualified medical personnel on a military base. The results of landmines, gunfire, and various stabbings aren't all covered under basic first aid, but I consider myself qualified enough.

And I'd be happy to teach you more advanced techniques. We might need that.
