@yalena.yardeen
here's what i don't get
someone leaked the names and locations of those agents. that i get, people are corruptible. might be a problem for us at some point, if it's still a thing, but it's not weird.
what is weird is that the soldiers didn't knock on gaby's door and didn't plan for us at all. seems like a pretty big tactical fuck-up to me, unless they didn't know about our existence, but again. leak.
so, anyone got an explanation for that? hells, i'd take guesses, too.
( ooc » feel free to use this as a discussion post for the event wrap up, if so inclined! )

@keith.kogane
I've seen soldiers like that before. Not exactly like that. But when they're confident, they don't care about the obstacles that can get in their way.

they didn't strike me as stupid, but hells, who knows

They'll plan for us next time.

That said, I doubt our omission is an oversight. Especially given that Gaby suspects her involvement with us is the reason she was spared.

still leaves a big fat "what the hells" though

In even more unsurprising news, no one is talking about it outside of our little circle. The press, local government, and public are keeping mum which leaves me to assume the UN and its soldiers are used to having the final say.

honestly, i'm surprised there's press at all

which makes no bloody sense unless the una wants us alive for some reason
but if that's the case
why did the soldiers attack us when we attacked?
none of this works out

@ignis.scientia
From what I understand, it seems that different sections of Morningstar operate relatively independently. While one could have been compromised, many others would still be in relative safety. It's entirely possible that none of their information detailed us.
After all, I doubt we're very high on Morningstar's list of priorities. They existed long before we entered the world, and their goals lie outside of us. Given that, I would think that the UNA would be far more interested in Morningstar's attempt on a weapons cache and informants than of a group of fifty-some-odd strangers who don't even know how they arrived here.
no subject
[ fair enough ]
but the weapons cache was definitely a trap
no subject
It was, yes. Morningstar is a rebellious faction, and the government in this world seeks to shut it down. So of course they laid a trap given the information they had.

Among those 50-some-odd strangers, some have joined the ranks of Morningstar who were not targeted. While it certainly makes sense if we consider ourselves completely independent, it's a tad more complicated than that.
no subject
You're correct in that it certainly does complicate things. Another option- though this is merely throwing darts, admittedly- is that the leak was obtained by a third party, and was pruned down before being presented to the UNA. Perhaps a third party who would benefit from our existence not being known as of yet.
It would be easy to point at whatever party saw to our arrival here, but perhaps that would fit together too neatly. Without actual evidence, we're all merely conjecturing.
