@clarke.griffin
There are a lot of things I can say here. I can chastise all of us for how discussions went before. But that's not important. People are in danger, and they're people who have helped us. I haven't made it a secret that I think Morningstar doesn't deserve devotion from us. The thing is, there's a difference between devotion and helping out someone who's helped you. It's time for us to do the latter. My issues don't mean anything. We know Morningstar can do good work.
So, let's talk. Let's plan. We should all do it in the same place.
I want to lay some ground rules.
1. Even if we've been asked to use the weapons only to stun any assailants, a number of us know it's not that simple. So, let's skip the morality talk about whether or not that's okay. Sorry, Gaby. I actually trust most people won't go in guns blazing. [She actually wouldn't if there weren't "civilians" involved. She's still not sure she does now, but that's unimportant. White lies have a place here.] Self-defense is a thing. Let's all trust one another.
2. I have a lot of questions about this. We all do. But we have a limited time to pull this off. Let's try to focus on what we can do and then figure out the rest later. If you think you can get answers now that can help us? Bring it forward. Make a new reply to draw eyes to it.
3. I figure we have two separate directions we can go, but we need all hands on deck. If you're not comfortable handling a gun, take the address for the safehouses and get them set up.
4. Nothing "funny" about these rules. Which means the first thing you're all going to say is ... about my rules. Get it out of your system.
[There is a lot more to say, a lot more to add, but Clarke knows that it likely isn't her place to talk about it. Plus, some of these people are adults, even if they don't act like it. Maybe they won't make a joke about her rules.
... But she bets they will.]
edit: Daisy set up a useful map for everyone. Keep it updated as best as you can.
[ooc: this is the previously discussed and set up IC planning post for the event! Clarke won't be replying to everyone.]

@stephen.strange
I don't know if @gaby knows of anywhere that Morningstar keeps a stockpile, but if there are any of you who work in medical fields or even just a job that has a first aid kit in a backroom, we need what you can get.
When I've done what I can out there I'll be focusing on medical runs across the safehouses. Anyone else got experience and willing to use it? If we can get an idea of numbers it may be best to assign to select safehouses when we know how the population's panning out, make sure everywhere's covered. Anyone happy to get their hands dirty and follow instruction, you're needed. Anyone who can run transport, you too.
If there's a medical emergency, call me. If you can get back to a safehouse, better.
[ though if he's on the other side of the city when you ring in, you're just going to have to get along with being fucked. ]

[ Which seems innocuous enough, but Stephen will know the whole of it — she knows combat medicine, can administer it under fire. Sometimes hasty, sometimes sloppy, but it'll do the job and keep people alive until they can be medevaced to more help. ]
If any teams are headed to priority addresses where contact with the UNA is likely, they should take a kit with them if supplies allow it.

For those less medically inclined, we should work out who is going to what apartment. Less chance of overlap, less chance of missing someone.
Work out well-balanced squads, but that'd be a hell of a lot easier for those who actually know shit about most of us.
I've got combat experience. Know how to use a gun, know enough first aid to get by. Call me for backup if you need it.
no subject
It should be. But when we first got here, a lot of Morningstar agents died for us. I'd like to make sure that doesn't happen, even if it's not for us.
We can use some of what Hafid has gathered to organize groups. But we can also trust people to handle themselves.
Do you think you're better fighting or doing first aid? Stephen and I are bound to have our hands full.

@leo.fitz
Given that this is Morningstar’s operation and tech, I suggest we follow their directives to the best of our ability. Not only for reasons of morality and respect for the institution that saw fit to save our skins, but also because they're the experts. This is their terrain.
That being said, I understand (and hope) we'll do what needs to be done.
Many Morningstar agents have been a great help to us, including lab contacts testing samples of our blood and other substances. Gaby/El have confirmed these individuals, including our primary contact, are in danger. We’re multiversal anomalies and living weapons, meaning those results, as well as all who’ve processed the samples, are invaluable. Even without knowing this, if I were the UNA, I’d target scientists early and with great firepower. Cut off the head and cart it back to home base, so to speak.
Seems like a priority rescue to me, and I'm well aware of how that sounds. [ when this concerns people. ] If you share my concerns, we should work together. I think we're all stronger as a team, despite our differences. Maybe even because of them.
@markus.manfred
I want to help with this. We should make it a priority to aid these contacts and to keep those samples out of the hands of the UNA. We don't need more reasons to feel like our group might be compromised.
I can fight if necessary, and I know how to handle a gun. Though I would suggest going in with caution rather than abandon; they UNA might already have beat us there.

I agree with both you and Mr Manfred. We may not know much about Morningstar, but we know enough to recognise they've helped us and kept our secrets — lab contacts included. If the UNA is as ruthless as they say, I don't want our information in their hands. (And it's highly likely the scientists have more in their back pocket than just our blood work.)
I'll go with you. A team of two is faster; a team of about 3 - 4 is safer.

I can lead a force or follow someone else's lead. We need to save everyone.
I've been on a mission that was a trap, and lost someone who had become my friend. I don't want that to happen here. I'm not saying they're my friends. But they could be. It's a bad spot to be in.

Either those in need of a little getaway or under the UNA's nose. I'm better at running away then I am conflict.

There is no reality in which everyone escapes unharmed. If you agree to help, you're agreeing to risk your life and the lives of others who are relying on you. Make sure you're prepared to do what it takes to protect you and the people around you.
A stunned enemy will eventually come to and that will be another factor you will have to be there. You may be choosing the life of someone trying to kill you over the life of a teammate or ally.
We can't save everyone. Be aware of this. If there is a choice between saving the many or the few, go for the many. The life in front of you is not more important than the lives of everyone else.

@ignis.scientia
If Morningstar operatives are at risk in their own homes, it means that this alternate faction has information about their identities and locations. However, nothing about us, nor the safehouses, has seemed to be in danger. So my question is how they've obtained such information. The easiest answer would, of course, be a spy or mole in the organization, in which case one of the civilians we're trying to save may be learning more than they'd ever hoped.
It could also mean that Morningstar's personal communications could be monitored. I assume their agents have a network similar to ours that we have no access to- but if this 'UNA' was able to obtain contact information, then the security of our own should be questioned as well.
Just some thoughts for going forward.
[yes he completely ignored her request to 'do what we can and figure out the rest later' SORRY CLARKE.....]
