What do people do for hobbies around here? Aside from volunteering for medical torture.
Has Victorian flower languages come back in style yet? Bookbinding and leathercraft seems obsolete by now, but what about backgammon or cards. I once lost a game of trappola to the Duchess of Ferrara, she was shark. Scrabble? Does that work with the translator? Pomme de terre is about twice as many points as potato.
[ please enjoy that this translates to "potato is about twice as many points as potato" unless you also speak french.
anyway joe is bored come talk to him ]
Who wants to bring fencing back in fashion?

this was pushed on them without giving them the choice, but he thinks it will be convenient. he likes the immediacy of joe in his mind, anyway. ]
Remind me. What flowers say "medical torture is bad"?
[ calling out everyone. calling out booker specifically, too. it will be some time yet before nicky is able to let that go. ]

As to the rest: most things are digital unless you fancy trying your hand at street racing.

I think I'll pass on 2 Fast 2 Furious: New Amsterdam. I've given digital sketching a try once or twice but there is nothing like charcoal and paper.

Unless it's a word that's generally accepted across languages. Or a brand like McDonald's.

@catra.victorious
I'm not that good on sword but I've been trained with most weapons. If you need a fencing partner.
What's Victorian flower language?
no subject
All flowers have meanings, flower language is merely arranging them into sentences.
I offered a bouquet of cowslip to my Nicky because it means "I find divinity in your beauty" without my having to say the words.

Fencing, eh? I'm handy with a sword.
I presume the things you mention alongside cards are games?
no subject
[ like baby children just learning ]
Yeah, trappola is a card game and scrabble is a board game. As is backgammon, I learned how to play as a boy.
