The creatures are using the gates to move.

I've closed the New Amsterdam gate for now, but that's only one city cut off from a sudden influx. The others will still be caught unawares, their efforts undone with no clear reason to why.

Any relic can reopen the New Amsterdam gate. I propose we organize ourselves and do so. Pass through the gate to another city, close the gate upon our arrival, and assist the local efforts to squash the insects there before making our way back. Obviously, someone will need to close the New Amsterdam gate behind us.

I understand Strange and Griffin have turned Red Wings into some kind of fort. We may as well use it, and move to the New Amsterdam gate together. More of us will live to see the other cities, that way, and we can divide our number once we arrive.

We'll need capable fighters to go through. People who are able to make it through the other besieged cities to help them and to find a way back to us here.

We should be able to return via supply routes from most of the cities, though Quentin will be prepared to reactivate the New Amsterdam gate if necessary for a quick out.

Is there a city you're particularly familiar with? Probably best to monopolize on that.

Where I come from, monsters like this are vermin. When one kills a few people, you call an exterminator. Obviously, in our present circumstances, that duty falls to us.

You're foolish if you think it all falls to us. Controlling it is one thing. But seeing ourselves as performing a duty ... that's more noble than I expected of you.

It doesn't mean I'm any less inclined to help, but we're obligated to do nothing for ourselves except survive.

I'm not a fighter so I probably wouldn't be much help, but I'm happy to give someone else my relic to help out.

The relic should provide some protection against the worser beasts, I've gathered. But you would be more help if you were willing to travel, fighter or not.

The relic keeps you from being possessed or infected, from what I've seen. I can close it behind you if that helps. Typically I'm more of a hindrance in a fight than a help.

Yes. Closing the gate behind us would be a great help to keep New Amsterdam cut off from the other cities so those fighting here can clear out the creatures.

Great. I can do that. If the best happens and we manage to quell the invasion in each place, should we be ready to open the gates again so people don't have to take the long way around? Or is that assuming the best of a situation?

Yes, be ready to reopen quickly. If we can move people back and forth, it'll expedite the process.

Yeah I was in New Oslo last time. I wouldn't say I know it "well" but I know it enough.

You know, I've got no idea. If they can't, maybe they can stand guard in New Amsterdam for now. Keep the creatures from escaping or cut them off there.

Yeah no problem. They've been helping a damn lot since this all started. I think they're all enjoying getting into fights that don't have to stop in the ring.
