The name of my home planet is Earth, but my mother's people's home planet was Daibazaal. It was destroyed ten thousand years ago.

I'm not fully human, but I don't know if that's changed. I haven't checked.

I can adapt to my surroundings.

Depends on who you're asking. When you're fighting a war, you're a war criminal to somebody.

I'm a pilot. Ships, planes, even giant robots. I can handle them all. I fight well, and I've trained all my life. I've done covert missions. I've fought in a war. I lead a team of people called the Paladins of Voltron. I've been in other dimensions, and I know how it works in my universe, and how to close the rifts. Mostly.

["Mostly" is embellishing a lot, but whatever.]

As far as I can tell, the means don't exist here. I asked. That doesn't mean they weren't present already. Especially since this world is messed up.

With technology as advanced as it is I wouldn't be surprised if this was the result of a malicious dimension ripper.

[ He... has experience with that. Not being teleported but suddenly having to deal with a dead fucking Joker standing there when he should be six feet under and well rotting. ]

What do you mean? Someone out to hurt us, and this universe?

Most likely.
Think about it.
They're bringing outside forces into their world and augmenting them with superhuman abilities. Something that doesn't seem to be common here.

Do you know what happened with the first of us? Did you hear?

It was June 22nd. All of us were on a bus. Knocked out. The same weird compliant stuff was in play.

Anyway, an accident happened. Morningstar did it. They stopped the bus, and a gunfight ensued. There was only one survivor from Morningstar, and no one else. Some of the people on the bus died. Some of us. We were brought here afterward by the Morningstar agent.

Maybe we were given powers and stuff on purpose, but I don't get the feeling that things were supposed to go down that way that night.

I thought there might be a chance that we were on our way to being dropped off, but it doesn't make sense. Not with the nurse doing that. The one whose apartment caught on fire.

We don't know what was done to us.
For all we know we could be sleeper agents, no one remembers what was done. All it takes is a trigger to set off a single agent and decimate the enemy.

I know how it works. I've experienced it first hand.

I'm telling you that it doesn't add up. Why would they bring in people from another universe to do it, thus risking the fabric of this one? And not just one other universe, but a different one for most of us?
