I'm not fully human, but I don't know if that's changed. I haven't checked.

I can adapt to my surroundings.

Depends on who you're asking. When you're fighting a war, you're a war criminal to somebody.

I'm a pilot. Ships, planes, even giant robots. I can handle them all. I fight well, and I've trained all my life. I've done covert missions. I've fought in a war. I lead a team of people called the Paladins of Voltron. I've been in other dimensions, and I know how it works in my universe, and how to close the rifts. Mostly.

["Mostly" is embellishing a lot, but whatever.]

As far as I can tell, the means don't exist here. I asked. That doesn't mean they weren't present already. Especially since this world is messed up.

With technology as advanced as it is I wouldn't be surprised if this was the result of a malicious dimension ripper.

Most likely. Think about it. They're bringing outside forces into their world and augmenting them with superhuman abilities. Something that doesn't seem to be common here.

I haven't.

It was June 22nd. All of us were on a bus. Knocked out. The same weird compliant stuff was in play.

Anyway, an accident happened. Morningstar did it. They stopped the bus, and a gunfight ensued. There was only one survivor from Morningstar, and no one else. Some of the people on the bus died. Some of us. We were brought here afterward by the Morningstar agent.

Maybe we were given powers and stuff on purpose, but I don't get the feeling that things were supposed to go down that way that night.

He adds a filter. Because for all he is a nasty goblin, he doesn't want to cause panic. ]

I thought there might be a chance that we were on our way to being dropped off, but it doesn't make sense. Not with the nurse doing that. The one whose apartment caught on fire.

I'm familiar. It still doesn't add up.

We don't know what was done to us.
For all we know we could be sleeper agents, no one remembers what was done. All it takes is a trigger to set off a single agent and decimate the enemy.

I know how it works. I've experienced it first hand.

I'm telling you that it doesn't add up. Why would they bring in people from another universe to do it, thus risking the fabric of this one? And not just one other universe, but a different one for most of us?

If you're outmatched you bring in outsiders.
Interfering with other universes doesn't necessarily lead to temporal collapse. If the technology is stable then there's virtually no risk to the universe people are being drawn into.
It's not uncommon. I've experienced it in my world.

This world is at peace. I know it's hard to believe, but I haven't found any evidence to the contrary.

If the world were at peace then Morningstar wouldn't exist and wouldn't be hunting for weapons.
Just because things seem quiet doesn't mean they are.

It still doesn't add up.

Morningstar would be the enemy they're trying to take down. That we're meant to be the sleeper agents against. Just because someone has weapons doesn't mean they're at war. Those weapons could be a way of "maintaining control," and maybe Morningstar wanted some of that control for themselves. It's a common enough tactic, especially by rebel groups when they know they've gotta play the long game.

[Tactics that Kolivan and his mom instilled in him, made sure he knew. Keith wasn't always very good at the long game.]

I'm not saying I have the answer. I don't. I just think it's a good idea to be careful before deciding we're all ticking time bombs. I looked into that when I got here. I could be wrong. I hope I'm not. But every thing doesn't really account for why we're here.

We don't know enough. Period. But to not consider the possibility and try to account for it is pure stupidity.
It's called being prepared.

I'm accounting for it. I've been going over it for the last month. No matter what, a lot of stuff here just doesn't make sense. That makes me think we're overlooking a more obvious answer.

And being sleeper agents isn't it.

By going over it do you mean mulling over conclusions you've drawn yourself, or actually investigating?
