[ it's been a difficult few weeks, and it feels almost like everyone's still trying to hold themselves together. there's a quiet hush over the unrest, which means that it's absolutely time to get some shit together. ]
Oh, hello.
Just a few thoughts that I've put together, I suppose- prior to my arrival here I had a rather good sense of the goings-on within the very fabric of reality. While I certainly can't indulge myself in such feats since I got here, I can say with confidence that the multiverse loves patterns. Something that's simple to predict. For instance, there are some of us here that seem to mirror a similar set of circumstances with one another while still coming from different universes. (See: Tony Stark and Stephen Strange.)
With that in mind, I thought that there simply must be something similar that links us all together in a thread of commonality.
Come now-
You all must have noticed.
Everyone's hot.
[ mystery solved.
it could be that he's just bored. ]

The place I come from is nothing like this. When we say hot, we mean something that could burn.

[ Loki stop ]

it also means hot as in attractive, pretty, sexy
ie:
jon is so hot, he makes me blush like a school girl

Blush like a maiden
But aye, that’s the same.
It’s true that any number of you are pretty enough. Does anyone have any idea of why it might be so?

Is it because love is like a fire?

Why not?

A face that isn’t so pretty can become prettier every day.

Please, name someone who isn't hot.

When I was still a green boy, around eighteen or so, men would call me pretty to mock me. But that doesn’t mean anything to a sword. Beauty can die on a blade, or kill with it.
And I don’t know that I am, but if I am, it doesn’t matter.

Usually those sorts of insults that derive from being compared to a woman begin and end with a certain kind of ignorant fragility from those spouting them.
Though it's best to show some kind of confidence in this situation. Enjoy being attractive, Mr Snow.

[And if you are determined to prove that you're not a creature of lust and deceit, it can make it a little harder to enjoy being attractive.]
Better to not feel like you need to prove anything anymore.
no subject
No matter.
Though it does make me wonder, what is there to prove for a compliment?

[A friend? He thinks? Sort of?]
I’m no poet. Or I hate to think of what passes for poetry where you come from. Where I come from, it’s always talking about some woman’s hair and her fine eyes, or how strong some hero was.

[ you're the one out here talking about beauty and blades and death. ]
It's a little bit of the same. Pretty girls. Glorious deaths. Sometimes it's milking machines, if you like it weird. Good to know that some things are standard across worlds.
