Hey babes!

Remember last time I mentioned that sharing is caring? Well that's still true but instead of sharing skills and hobbies this time, I have information to share.

A few months ago while many of us were preparing to storm the castle in New Beijing, I happened to casually come into possession of two bags of IV fluid left behind from the arrivals. Yes, the same stuff that knocks us out and makes us do stuff even if we don't want to. Thanks to @caroline.forbes' awesome gala a couple weeks ago, I met and befriended my new lady mentor who happens to be a chemist at Giles Bell.

What a serendipitous coincidence!

Anyway! My new friend managed to break it down into two parts -
1. a super strong take down a herd of elephants or a dude named Cupid high on PCP on the subway sedative that weakens the nervous system (side note: does that make it a neurotoxin?)

2. ????????
Yeah, they ran into a wall on the compulsion drug (they don't know that's what it is). Apparently it's classified. Her boss tried, her boss' boss tried, no dice. It's a trade secret, that's fun.

Now she's a lil' curious though and they have questions I'm not completely sure how to answer. They're mostly where what who how and whens: where'd I get it, do I have more, do I know what it is and what is does, normal stuff like that.

I could tell the truth (New Beijing, yes, definitely yes) but I'm not entirely sure that is the right tact because it could open up even more questions. Let's brainstorm, babes.

xoxo Silena

What happens when they decide that it's time to make more? Assuming that's even possible. Outsourcing it could be an issue, unless it's classified on every system across the world.

The where might be a reasonable start without giving too much away. They'll start distrusting you big time if you won't give any answers.

Classified.

I don't think it would hurt to lie here, assuming that the lie itself is successful enough.

[There is no reason to tell the truth.]

Did you tell her that you knew what it did?

You can give someone answers without them necessarily being the truth.
filloryfanatic: (reading what?)

That's assuming someone is comfortable and good at lying. Half-truths or partial truths can sometimes make that easier.

Not that I'm doubting Silena's skills at all, she's obviously already done this much and gotten results.
strove: (shit - talk of homes is very deep)

It also depends on the believable lie, which is where we come in. We have to make sure that what she says makes sense.

Maybe it would take out regular Cupid.

( or eros, whichever face he was wearing. at least that explained what had happened to them. )

Giles Bell is the company doing the drug trials. I heard someone talking about that last night. ( in their living room. ) Do we think it's trade secret because they're using it in one?

i do not like science very much but you have done good science and good sleuthing. what is your new friend's impression of you so far?

This classified component could very well be something Giles Bell is already working on - or someone else is using Giles Bell as a means for their own development. These companies have their hands in virtually every pot.

I can confirm they are in the midst of a new drug trial, despite some hazy science. The project received significant subsidizing from the UN.

i participated in some kind of drug trial with giles bell a little while ago. nothing like this but they were pretty open about everything they were giving to me.

and i didn't die.

i don't know if i trust anyone corporate but i can say they didn't try anything weird if you do decide to give them a sample. i don't know if i helped anything but i definitely didn't get any sleep.

There are probably hands very much in our pots, or at least branches.

Marcos? He said he was going to. Giles Bell develops a lot of drugs and health related sundries. I would not be surprised in the slightest if there was a department somewhere that helped to develop the drugs that sedate us and make us compliant when we arrive. Looking at the overall development of this world's corporatism, they have large interconnected monopolies on all kinds of developments. Even from a supply perspective.

The fact that this ingredient is classified does at least tell us they know it. They have it in their systems.

Giles Bell is unfortunately the weak area in terms of my own connections.
