@loki.odinson

[ it's been a bit that he's stewed on it, and honestly, Loki isn't very much up for the opinion's of others. this time, there's a nagging little curiosity in him, something that springs something else to life that he thought would be easy to bury when he arrived.

All appropriate extended greetings and "good afternoon"s.
Which one of you hail from a universe that has gods?
Not just gods in the literal, very physical sense, but also gods in the mythical one. Please, tell me about it. Indulge my boredom.
I hereby dub it story time.

Fillory's a planet that was designed by twin gods Ember and Umber. It's where the Wellspring is, which is the source of all magic. Ember decided that only "Children of Earth" could rule it, mostly because he thought it would be more interesting, and made it so that some humans could travel between the two worlds. I'm a former High King, for example. Emphasis on the former.

[Quentin doesn't mind. Demand away!]

Ember and Umber were the main gods of Fillory, but the majority of the gods were more on earth or in the other dimensions of our multiverse. I guess we could ask around, see how many people know what earth is. We're on one now, maybe something in the multiverse is connecting all of them together somehow, absorbing us from our versions. Of course that wouldn't work if only some of us are from it! It's fun to think about though.

In our multiverse everything was connected. It's not the same as multiple earths like we're exhibiting, but there were a variety of branched out places, and we visited a few of them. I guess I think there is a reason, just not necessarily one that will help us or make a difference. The universe has its own rules. Which obviously, you would know, you're probably like thousands of years old right?

Why is that normally when people hear their name like that they go oh no, Mr. Coldwater is my father, but I just immediately assume I'm about to get put in detention?

I'm sorry Professor Loki, it won't happen again!

[Laughing.]

The joke's on you I love homework.

Have you ever had to do homework? You're a god.
filloryfanatic: (amused)

At least you're not like some immortals in books who just keep going to high school for some reason eternally.
filloryfanatic: (reading what?)

[personal profile] filloryfanatic 2020-04-14 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
I have zero idea, high school is the absolute worst. I guess though if you're some good looking jock-ish vampire dude attracted to underaged girls it would be the place to be.
filloryfanatic: (okay)

[personal profile] filloryfanatic 2020-04-17 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
I wish I could say there was only one, Loki. But there's more than one.
filloryfanatic: (simple and nice)

You'll get bored so quickly.

So what's your experience with gods outside of you know, your own life? Did you interact with non-Norse gods too?
