I have some news. Information. Whoever's been doing all this stuff to you and then dumping you in our city, they weren't so tidy this time. One of the nurses actually stopped and saluted a camera. I'll let you decide how to feel about that, but on my side, I'd call it a dick move.
Anyway, it means I caught his face enough to run recog, finally. They definitely know, though, because I've been barely managing to chase his info down before it's wiped. Which is also why I don't think we have time to waste, so I'm not waiting on preparing an established agent.
I'm sending his address through now. Let me know if you're following it. I'll watch your back. Literally.

The best?
Like.............
He has the most RAM?

No. He's a good man.

I'm guessing it's just you two then since you figured out it was Markus immediately.

(this conversation is going to give him hives)
You're right, though - as far as we're aware, it's only the two of us. There are none left in this world.

The first part sounds really confused for an android but I've only seen movies and stuff so it's probably way different irl.
Then the second part's kind of sad. Idk, people don't like all people so ig androids wouldn't like all androids, but maybe you do.
no subject
Some androids still follow human directives while... lacking the autonomy and emotion you'll see in Markus and I. While that imbalance can cause infighting, no one wants to witness the eradication of their entire species.
So, yes. It is "kind of" sad.
no subject
I didn't mean "kind of" like that, sorry. Just that what I was expecting and what's in movies is kind of what you said. Robots. Machines, so not like you or Markus.
But saying "eradication" and then me imagining that they're like you is really different from that. It's horrible.

Would you like to know anything else about us, individually or as a whole, while we're on the topic?
no subject
Is it really weird having a human body now?
no subject
Would they be this advanced? More or less?
This place is a distant future for us, but I am familiar with basic hovercrafts, automated vehicles, limited space travel, and the neural implants' interfaces. Not the implants themselves. They're convenient, if a little intrusive for... those unaccustomed to them.
no subject
The ones I know aren't as advanced, they don't feel or think or anything. They obey orders and those orders are to be soldiers. They're part of an infantry that's powered by magic, idk what powers other robots or androids.
Is it a really complicated history that would take a long time? I can read about it on my own if you don't wanna go over it all again.
makes up bullshit excuse for why i suck at reading comprehension......
Yes it's weird. I processed messages like these automatically, so missing direct inquiries was impossible before they forced me into this state. Now my memory's flawed and I'm liable to forget simple things. Sorry about that.
We're powered by biocomponents, which are similar to your organs. No magic, though, just modern science and clever engineering. Can they communicate with you at all?
it's HUMANITY
It's cool. Is that the weirdest part? Could you feel stuff before? Did you eat?
They don't communicate anything other than that the guys giving them orders want me dead which is all I need to know tbh.
no subject
The weirdest part would likely be this body's involuntary actions and the basic things everyone has to do to stay alive. There is a great deal of sloshing happening and, while disturbing and unnatural, it is fascinating. It took a couple of months to come around to that opinion... I'm an advanced prototype so I could hear and taste, but touching was never feeling - just pressure and weight.
Eating is inconvenient. I don't like to do it a lot of the time, unless the foods are bland and easy to digest. Remembering that certain things have to happen is difficult due to sensory overload... which causes complications, as you might imagine.
Why do they want you dead so badly that it requires an army of androids?
no subject
Remembering that certain things have to happen? ??? Eating's inconvenient but it can be fun too. You just haven't found the food you like best yet probably. I'll help you work on it.
The whole army's not after me they're just at war with the country I'm from.

(SUFFER WITH ME.)
It's hard to remember to eat three square meals a day, with snacks in between. Oftentimes I don't eat until I suffer lethargy, which is supposedly unhealthy. I'm not making any progress there. Discussing it is frustrating, if we're being honest with one another - I could eat right now, but I'm in the middle of a raid. Do you see what I mean?
I'm sorry to hear about that, though. War is never the solution to a problem, just the best way to make more. Would you tell me more about it when we discuss the one that took place here? There's a time and a place, I guess...
no subject
Well yeah ig it's annoying if you don't have someone making the food for you. You have to get more hyped about eating, it's fun. Stuff tastes good or the texture's nice, sometimes you can eat something special bc you're celebrating or w/e. Not saying there's not really gross food though.
You wanna talk about war?
no subject
Markus does a lot of the cooking, because I keep burning everything to the pots and pans, but I try often enough. Going out for meals is hit or miss when you don't know the difference in qualities, so if you find anywhere suitable please let me know. I want to try a burger, even if they're high in cholesterol and trans fat... and I like spaghetti.
I wouldn't say I want to talk about the war so much as I want to learn more about your life. Since we'd already be on the topic, it seemed more appropriate to combine the discussions.
no subject
Markus made me a burger lmao. He's not bad for a guy with zero RAM. Bet I could find a better one real quick in the city though. If I could actually go anywhere that is. Kinda tired of being cooped up already ngl.
There's more to my life than that topic but okay. Guess I owe you that much.
