@stephen.strange
There's no way to tiptoe around this so I'll get straight to it:
Superhuman abilities. If you had them before coming here and don't have them now, I'd be grateful if you could explain to me exactly what it is that you've lost. Whether your power was linked with your biology, learned or innate, etc.
It's my intention to conduct research into how these things were nullified and I'll need as broad an understanding of the scope of the ability loss as possible if I'm going to achieve anything useful.
Also interested to hear about experiences anyone's had with any of the following:
1. Touch-initiated empathy
2. Mysterious item appearances, potentially from the chest
3. Anything else related or potentially related to weird chest feelings or the neural implant that you think might be relevant.
Disclaimer: Don't tell me about your struggles grappling with the technology. I'm not an IT consultant and I can't troubleshoot your technical difficulties. Also, don't get clever re: "weird chest feelings". You know exactly who you are, I won't @ you.
Thank you.

Pointing out what obvious?

[ you're excused. ]
jesus, the free wifi at future starbucks has better security than this post

Maybe you can't relate.
[ yikes? ]

it's way too convenient for a network to be private to just those of us who have gone through top-tier hazing
somebody on the back end is reading these messages, and none of us know who they are
[ at least, not yet. daisy's making it her mission to find out. ]
//private
Anyone who took us already knows what we are. Anyone who didn't might be a little more inclined to do something about fast-tracking the reversal of what's been done to us if they find out there's more to us than more mouths to feed.
If you have any better ideas about how else I should go about gathering information regarding the exact group of people who have exclusive access to this specific network without actually utilising that resource at all when the neural implant runs almost every aspect of our lives and any other connection is significantly less secure than this one, please. I'm open to suggestions.

they might. but they might also think of us as freaks and try to dump us in the street where they found us.
as fun as that was the first time, i'd like to avoid it if possible again.
[ after a moment, she adds: ] how shit was your hangover after the first day?
no subject
So what if they do? We're already free to go, not sure there'd be a lot of point in wasting drugs and gas dumping us when they could just not let us back into the safehouse next time we wander out for groceries.
[ hm ] Not as bad as you'd think. Adrenaline did some good work. Still suffering?

there's always fine print
[ duh? ]
i haven't puked my guts up yet today, so that's a plus
a hug is apparently great medicine around these parts

Stop, or you can sit outside in the playpen while the grownups talk.

every time i try to do any of the things i could do at home, i wind up feeling super nauseous.
fun fact: food helps settle your stomach when you feel like you're going to hurl.
since i'm pretty sure i'm not the only one from our universe missing our now-former special talents, it'd probably be a good idea to have some on hand.
unless you WANTED people to puke all over the table at our fun little get-together.
[ so THERE ]
