Superhuman abilities. If you had them before coming here and don't have them now, I'd be grateful if you could explain to me exactly what it is that you've lost. Whether your power was linked with your biology, learned or innate, etc.

It's my intention to conduct research into how these things were nullified and I'll need as broad an understanding of the scope of the ability loss as possible if I'm going to achieve anything useful.



Also interested to hear about experiences anyone's had with any of the following:

1. Touch-initiated empathy
2. Mysterious item appearances, potentially from the chest
3. Anything else related or potentially related to weird chest feelings or the neural implant that you think might be relevant.

Disclaimer: Don't tell me about your struggles grappling with the technology. I'm not an IT consultant and I can't troubleshoot your technical difficulties. Also, don't get clever re: "weird chest feelings". You know exactly who you are, I won't @ you.

The empathy is related to skin-to-skin contact, and it's only between all of us. It's the same regardless of who it happens to be.

I think you may want to add the odd situation where androids have become humans to your list. It's not a matter of abilities, but it's still a factor.

I believe my ability I had was something of a biological evolution, an ability a lot of people are born with now due to some impending doom.

I agree with Clarke. The touch-initiated empathy only occurs in our group of anomalies, both those of us who arrived first and the second group.

It is possible that the implant itself is acting as an inhibitor.

It is. This is one of the possibilities I'm looking into. There are a couple of potential flaws in the idea for now, but until I can get into a lab nothing's ruled out.

As an aside, I've experienced the empathy connection and I'm not entirely sure how to proceed with it. It seems scientific, but how that's possible is another matter entirely - whatever it is seems connected to our nervous systems.

I agree. My first thought was a potential neural feedback loop created between implants, but given it's only affecting those of us who've gone through the whole shaved head human trafficking debacle, I'm less certain.

Then there's how connected both it and the power inhibitions seem to be with our chests. Something else unique to us. I'm going to look into it as soon as I can.
