@kylo.ren - november 4, 2511; locked to morningstar agents and contacts

Investigation into the leak that lead to the raid on Morningstar agents in September strongly suggests that the source might, in fact, be survivors of the crash in June.

It is time to consider moving on the UNA.

However, this poses several problems, particularly given that our goal is ultimately to reclaim the captured agents.

The first is determining their location; Morningstar has been unable to track the captured agents and it is likely that the UNA has a means to nullify or otherwise cloak the implants much in the way Morningstar has been able to do with the Displaced following each drop-off.

The second is extracting the agents once we have determined their location; this will place any rescuers directly in the path of UNA soldiers who are, as experience suggests, difficult to engage directly. It is also likely that in accomplishing this, the UNA will immediately suspect Morningstar which will lead to an elevation in hostility.

The most efficient way to acquire the information that will allow us to do both is to go to the source: capturing one of their soldiers.

To that end, the UNA has a base locally. Scouting for information will be difficult though not impossible.

Ideally, we will be looking to pin down movement patterns and shift times before moving onto outright capture; the soldiers work in groups. We will also need to secure a site to hold them once they’re in our custody.

Those that wish to assist are welcome, particularly those with abilities and experience beyond that which Morningstar can provide. Additionally, anyone wishing to weigh in on this plan or offer alternatives should do so now, as the longer the agents remain in UNA custody, the greater the risk to the rest of us.

( OOC NOTES:
1. while the tone of this post might give the impression that kylo ren has determined his course and will not be moved, we are in fact very open to suggestion and brainstorming.
2. this network is locked to morningstar agents and contacts. if you would like to be involved and have not signed up with morningstar yet, the page is here.
3. any ideas discussed here will likely be referred back to in the upcoming event, despite the fact that this network is happening prior to knowledge of the event.
4. mods wanted to clarify that there is only a single base in the city. )

Yes. A quick pill to swallow up both life and secrets.

It is likely they will be tracked as well. If that cannot be blocked by the same thing Morningstar uses on our behalf, careful consideration of location is a must, and time will be a factor.

Not to mention their suits might have an autorelay or sensor systems.

Given the state of this world and surveillance, I think it is safer to simply assume they have both, even as a failsafe.

Excellent points on all counts.

[ Good to know the cyanide pill of her time isn't an outdated last resort. ]

We may need to strip them of their armour in case of tracking technology, as well as the other points Sergeant Erso has made above. Having our engineers analyse it at a separate secure location could be beneficial, especially in the long run.

[ even space has their good old fashion cyanide style suicides. ]

Stripping the armor should probably be one of the immediate moves, yes.

But I would not count out the fact that any trackers could also be neural. We can send off texts and videos and no one realizes. It is safe to say they can do the same.

The moment they realize they are in danger, what is to stop them from sending an alert at the very least?

Nothing, if sending an alert is as instantaneous as simply thinking it. (Which it likely is.) Stealth and the element of surprise, including whatever abilities the team possesses, are our best tools. And as for the possibility of trackers, I imagine it would be integrated with their implant and that isn't something we can dispose of or disable so neatly.

It may have to be a matter of fitting one of our own masks on the captive. They're capable of scrambling neural IDs but blocking the signal itself is another story.

I might recommend an instant knock out, though that would pose a danger if that too can be traced. If a soldier goes unconscious, is the headquarters alerted? Is the cadre?

Surveillance is everywhere on this planet, considering every possible element of it should be included in the planning.

Those masks sound like a necessity to this mission, for those involved and this soldier. Perhaps a mask can modified to just block a location signal at the minimum? I admittedly know very little about them, so my apologies if my questions fall under what might be common knowledge. Maybe there is technology out there in a general sense that can block for locations, if the masks cannot.

Regardless, their ability to be tracked in some capacity is an element I am not sure can be avoided.
