@kylo.ren - november 4, 2511; locked to morningstar agents and contacts
Investigation into the leak that lead to the raid on Morningstar agents in September strongly suggests that the source might, in fact, be survivors of the crash in June.
It is time to consider moving on the UNA.
However, this poses several problems, particularly given that our goal is ultimately to reclaim the captured agents.
The first is determining their location; Morningstar has been unable to track the captured agents and it is likely that the UNA has a means to nullify or otherwise cloak the implants much in the way Morningstar has been able to do with the Displaced following each drop-off.
The second is extracting the agents once we have determined their location; this will place any rescuers directly in the path of UNA soldiers who are, as experience suggests, difficult to engage directly. It is also likely that in accomplishing this, the UNA will immediately suspect Morningstar which will lead to an elevation in hostility.
The most efficient way to acquire the information that will allow us to do both is to go to the source: capturing one of their soldiers.
To that end, the UNA has a base locally. Scouting for information will be difficult though not impossible.
Ideally, we will be looking to pin down movement patterns and shift times before moving onto outright capture; the soldiers work in groups. We will also need to secure a site to hold them once they’re in our custody.
Those that wish to assist are welcome, particularly those with abilities and experience beyond that which Morningstar can provide. Additionally, anyone wishing to weigh in on this plan or offer alternatives should do so now, as the longer the agents remain in UNA custody, the greater the risk to the rest of us.
( OOC NOTES:
1. while the tone of this post might give the impression that kylo ren has determined his course and will not be moved, we are in fact very open to suggestion and brainstorming.
2. this network is locked to morningstar agents and contacts. if you would like to be involved and have not signed up with morningstar yet, the page is here.
3. any ideas discussed here will likely be referred back to in the upcoming event, despite the fact that this network is happening prior to knowledge of the event.
4. mods wanted to clarify that there is only a single base in the city. )

@kylo.ren
( even so: )
How was it, fighting them?
Did you find them able to anticipate your attacks?

[ not end anyone else's. how likely is it that below the helmets of the una soldiers, there are people like finn? ]

Do you imagine they will be merciful?
Look at what they did to the families of those taken.

Those are the risks we accept when doing the right thing by getting these agents free.
And if we never take the soldier to the safehouse, we don't have to worry about any of that.

the caves might be, though. we've used them pretty successfully for training without interruption. i don't think anyone would think to go there, and if we're careful to incapacitate before transport, they won't know where they are to find us later.
my main concern is they'll know who their captors are through our implants. if the scramblers work, that's less of an issue.
for the record, though? they deserve just as good as they gave us. i didn't get kicked in the ribs just to shake some asshole's hand and send him back home with a cooperation ribbon.

[ all bets would be off once they had what kylo needed, though. ]
The one I was able to incapacitate was on his own for some reason. I did not ask. So, I was able to use the enhanced strength that this place has given me to take him down. They are strong and they are resilient. I do not think he expected that level of power, though. If one can be separated from the group and distracted, it would be easier to capture them.

They've likely been enhanced but I wouldn't be surprised if their armor doesn't lend them some assistance. Disabling whatever software is onboard might help limit their advantage.

I would hardly suggest using someone for bait but if that is what it comes down to, it would be enough to turn their attention elsewhere for a few moments if they are in a group.
[ not that he wants to volunteer anyone for that. ]
I do not know much about software, though. That is my an area of expertise but most tangible things can be destroyed with fists or clubs or boots.

we're not anonymous here. even the identity scramblers still point back to morningstar.

And that we have more mercy than the UNA would, if the tables were turned.

If we can't perhaps we could find a way to track their movements, after.
[bug them? either way it's good a chance to eyes on the inside.]

i'll look around and see what we might be able to work with
@jon.snow
We should avoid killing anyone at all if we can help it. Even if they're beyond saving, it will draw undue attention toward us. It always does.
@kylo.ren
But as stated, the intention is to capture and interrogate and not to kill. If the soldier can be influenced then so much the better for us.
