@marcos.diaz
[ marcos hadn't really expected to be back on this network so soon but he'd said he'd do something and while it was a little later than expected, he was going to follow through with that. ]
Not too long ago, I was here with questions about a different version of me being here before. Seems like there's a few people that's happened to now so our club's growing. I'm not here for that today.
During that conversation, I told someone that I'd ask a question to all the Displaced because she was curious and honestly, I am too.
Question is why do you stick around? Why haven't more of you 'fucked off into oblivion' to quote the last conversation I had about this? Is it because there's nowhere else better to go? Or something else?
[ it'd be interesting to see if there was genuine thought in some of the answers, if people didn't know there was anywhere else to go, or just didn't want to make the effort. ]
To be clear, I'm not advocating one way or another. Just posing the question.
[ OOC: this isn't an official mod requested communication and isn't part of some bigger plot. it's just curiosity born of a conversation marcos had with gaby here that he said he'd ask about so he's asking. feel free to talk to each other, of course, and i'll answer as i can. ]

[Clarke moved away from that the moment she suggested that they might be drawn together by blue stuff.]
I mean, a lot of this has to do with how we feel? When we touch. When we exhibit our powers, or it was that way for me the first time.

[ defeats the point of a safehouse if you're plastering the address on everyone's mental driver's license. ]
it's either glowcube magic or someone who's got a decent eye on us
there's still room for error, though.

I think.
Honestly I'm not exactly the person to ask about that, but I know I don't have a prior location on my fake backstory that involves sleeping underneath an abandoned grocery store.

your average citizen has an address. before i moved, mine was the apartment i shared with fitz and bobbi. now, it's the one i share with jyn. it doesn't take much effort to look that up if someone wanted to.
but for the people still bouncing in the safehouse, what's on their id? some fake address, or a questionable nothing?
even if it's not a line item on a form, not having an address is probably a red flag to somebody.

send one person out on an extended vacation and see if they happen to blink while they're gone?
[ a vacation or an exile? ]
no subject
I'm not a fan of exile, self-imposed or otherwise.
And some of us have been here since late June and haven't disappeared once. How do we know someone will?

[ them's the breaks ]
the list of things we don't know vastly outnumbers even a list of things we know we have questions about
there's no safe experimentation here
but we have to try something or we're just accepting not knowing as the answer

We don't have to send someone away to test the more testable part of your theory.
I don't know if someone's address matters, but we might be able to see who's disappeared the most and attach an alternate address to them.
One person who comes to mind is Thor, but there may be others.

if he still comes and goes to the same place, then it's not the address on record.

Do you think you can ask him? I don't think he's terribly fond of me.
