Not as well as I might have liked to, but I did. We were close to the same age, she and I, though I felt younger than my years when we spoke. She was very stubborn and very proud, but how could she not be when she had dragons at her command, and a fearsome warrior for her own husband? It was not just that, she was fearsome in her own countenance too, and if some of it (or even most of it) was a mask she put on, it was much more convincing than mine. She was also kind. She did not want to heal father at all, not at first, and she didn't have to, truth be told, but she did. Not just because I pleaded with her, in the end it was her own decision.

She did a lot of good in Anatole when she was there, and I failed miserably at living up to what she left me when she was gone.

[Ned had built a replica of the glass gardens with that power, all out of ice. It's a thing she looks on with a fondness, and a little sadness.]

Wings, then? A sharp beak? :-) You know, claws would be very useful if they came and went at will.

I didn't. I couldn't settle on anything I liked well enough. I was only ever good at naming animals. And bestowing meaningless titles. I miss both things. I ...had it in most of what I dreamt, but there were times when I'd reach for it and it wasn't there at all.

While I was undercover, one member of the team, M'gann, entered my mind on the assumption that I had truly switched sides and all but wiped it, putting me in a vegetative state.

My mind was broken. I was back in it, Black Manta's men attacking.

As for your sword--perhaps if you gave it a name it wouldn't disappear on you. We would've let you have Needle if we'd ever thought you might need a name for your own sword. Pin, maybe.

[It's complicated - because Jon was there, but it had been a different Jon - and through her own distractions and so many circumstances that were not intentional, she'd never grown as close to him as she had to ...this Jon. She knows that they're fundamentally the same, maybe completely the same in the way that she hadn't remembered anything of Clock when she'd returned to the Vale, only to come back and have it all muddled - so she amends it, closer to her what she's really beginning to believe.]

I wish you remembered that place as well as Clock. [She has regrets that she won't yet speak to. Thinking about the possibility of anyone arriving here has made them resurface from the dreams (and crypts and stones) they'd already lurked in.]

Pin is rather good. As good as Dark Sister or Lady Forlorn, and better than Widow's Wail. 🙄 🙄 [The only thing Joffrey ever struck with that blade was a book. Which was probably good, but it also spoke to what a spoiled, spiteful little coward he had been.]

🖕🖕🖕🖕 I know it! Gods be good, I know it. We have a history, it and I. When I was still new to these places (and to pranks outside of my sister, I suppose) I was told it was a "friendly way of introduction" and encouraged to heartily greet each person I saw with it.

I'm sure you can imagine how well that was received.

Later, I'd heard it referred to as "shooting" the bird, which didn't make any sense at all at the time, but I think I understand the reference better now. There's no bird, it's a disrespectful pointing at the sky, where ...birds might generally be. And the shooting part is something like "finger guns"?

That may be the case. It's my first time on a "train" at all. I've never been underwater before, and never traveled underground by any other means than my own feet.

I could have done with a bit more forewarning, though.

Is that a "mortal" city, your New York? I feel as if I've heard reference to it even if only in passing.

Was it your plan to assist those in New Tokyo or was that a lucky surprise as well? (Perhaps it will have golden spires?)
