@gaby
[ this was supposed to be one of Gaby's days off. in fact, she's not in the safehouse when the message comes in. ]
Turns out that we're missing two new faces around the safehouse.
I'd play a guessing game as to why I wasn't told, but I don't care. These two faces apparently murdered two people that night.
I don't know who they are, but I do know that they're locked up. Any guesses as to what's going to happen to them?
Genuine question. Because I don't know.
Oh, and because some of you think you can do whatever the hell you want around here: don't think the way out for them is a jail break. Don't even fucking try it. And no, Morningstar isn't in the business of breaking people out of jail, because that would be stupid.
[ she's a little angry. no. a lot. but mostly she doesn't know how to handle this one. ]
Look. You know something? Tell me. You won't be "in trouble."

[ that makes sense. rey's not going to pretend she's a human resources expert or anything. ]
We might not be able to risk going for them, but what about the people who experimented on us?

I'll be blunt. We're fairly certain whoever's dropping off you guys knows where you're going. They're taking advantage of our charity. You aren't.
[ mostly. Gaby has a few people she'd like to punch in the head for taking her for granted, but that's not important here. ]
They are. My theory is that they're gonna see if we have the means to act here. Even if we might, we won't.
I'll spell out the other problems.
1. They might've been the ones to give the orders themselves. If that's the case, they want to see if we're willing to bend over backward for everyone.
2. They may not have, but there's always that risk.
3. They knew this could happen someday. They had you guys for a while – most of you had enough hair that they could've figured you out before they sent you into the world. That's where the surgery comes in.
They may not be problems, though. They could be little bits of insight.
So, we wait and see. I'll know if the NAPD decides to take a drastic measure.

If this isn't bait, it might be a failed experiment. It might give us a chance to track them back if we can observe the station and see who comes for them.
Unless you have reason to consider that as risky as acting to release them.

We don't need anyone to observe.
