@gaby

[ this was supposed to be one of Gaby's days off. in fact, she's not in the safehouse when the message comes in. ]

Turns out that we're missing two new faces around the safehouse.

I'd play a guessing game as to why I wasn't told, but I don't care. These two faces apparently murdered two people that night.

I don't know who they are, but I do know that they're locked up. Any guesses as to what's going to happen to them?

Genuine question. Because I don't know.

Oh, and because some of you think you can do whatever the hell you want around here: don't think the way out for them is a jail break. Don't even fucking try it. And no, Morningstar isn't in the business of breaking people out of jail, because that would be stupid.

[ she's a little angry. no. a lot. but mostly she doesn't know how to handle this one. ]

Look. You know something? Tell me. You won't be "in trouble."

What if we don't try to break them out? Is there a way to get someone in to talk to them? If we can prove that we're like them, maybe we can find out if they did it because they were compelled to, or because they chose it.

[ either's equally likely to her right now; if there's this many good, heroic types, it only stands to reason that some people would wind up in their position who were equally unheroic. ]

Right.

[ that makes sense. rey's not going to pretend she's a human resources expert or anything. ]

We might not be able to risk going for them, but what about the people who experimented on us?

People have been disappearing. They're obviously collecting us back up for one reason or another.

If this isn't bait, it might be a failed experiment. It might give us a chance to track them back if we can observe the station and see who comes for them.

Unless you have reason to consider that as risky as acting to release them.

Well they certainly aren't disappearing of their own volition. What's your alternative?
