When you say human trafficking, do you mean to suggest that they were planning to sell us for forced labour or sexual exploitation? You don't seem to have come across a scenario like this before, but is the faction that kidnapped us notorious for that sort of thing?

You were a bunch of drugged up, tied up people in a bus. I don't know where you were going or what they had you like that for, and I definitely don't know who did it to you. And I don't know how else to describe it except human trafficking.

I'm remote only. All systems agents are. You're connected through the safehouse's local system. The safehouse is secure. We scramble signals within a block of the warehouse, and they're shielded entirely while inside.

I'm sorry, that was rude. That was my first theory debunked, but I'll get to thinking of several more. Perhaps I was uploaded into this body? I could do that, back home, it's not too farfetched until you get to the human replica of me.

Yes, it's an exact replica of mine back home. Without the synthetic materials, of course. Human but for the mind.

OK that's a no, then. Human cloning might have been a possibility somehow, it's illegal and I don't know how they'd get your mind in there, but I definitely don't know how anyone would make a body exactly the same as your old one.

Yeah, cloning would require genetic material. While my blood would've contained trace elements indicative of my model, they wouldn't be able to splice it.

I'll just have to leave that a mystery for now.
