[Okay so he sucks at staying away from the network, but this is important, hopefully not even slightly controversial, and short.]
With all the talk of training powers in dreams, how the Aerie is (or was) connected to this reality, and so on, I was wondering something. Has anyone who had powers in the Aerie tried using them here?
[There is definitely no reason he's asking this question other than curiosity. Absolutely none.]

I suppose it makes sense that something of our experiences would travel with us, something more tangible than memories.

Chasing how and why will only lead to madness. I've been walking Earth for a millennia and none of us know how or why. We have theories, of course, I think we're meant to choose what to do with our time when it is given to us. Nicky says we are here to do good and that is enough for me.
That isn't to say searching for the whys is unimportant, but in our collective search for answers the why might be the last question.

I don't even mean on a grand scale of why we're here or anything like that, but just motives. Why people--or gods, or whatever--make their decisions is important, because that's what causes the who, when, and where.
[For anyone that a being was involved with, anyway; obviously accidents and just the laws of nature aren't included in this.]

She's just an asshole so I can see why people assumed she was divine.

But here we're having direct interaction, and more than that we seem to each be holding a part of a god. That makes the search for 'why' seem a little more tangible than it might otherwise normally be.

Again, I never said why was unimportant. But asking why, the way you're framing it, necessitates having someone to ask. There is little use in the interim.

Maybe. I'm just trying to figure out what we can.

[It's just the focusing constructively thing that's usually the problem, at least in his experience so far.]
