that sends an awful lurch through him. dick's here? again? that old guilt surfaces before he can stop it, wondering what one it is this time. but he shoves right past that, unwilling to ask in case it ends up used against him somehow.]

As previously discussed, Stephen and I had to come forward with making it apparent that we're a unique group associated with Red Wings. I know you wouldn't like this, but we wanted to take control of the narrative regarding ourselves. Unfortunately, the Aerie proceeded to take all of us and thrust many of us in the spotlight in a way we didn't expect. Like with Zerzura, we had no control over any of it.

It means that in terms of paranoia and how to protect ourselves, some of your insight will undoubtedly be valuable.

I was advocating for us to do just that, Griffin. Given that we were more organized and more capable of presenting a united front. Doesn't look like that miracle has happened.

We made adjustments to your approach given that we're a smaller group and we didn't know why we were here. Our instability creates problems, both in how likely we are to stay here, and our differing perspectives. Red Wings is the closest thing we have to a united front, so it's what we've used. Newcomers can either choose to use that as a resource or avoid it given the circumstances.

Your advice is appreciated, but I'll always make additional changes as necessary. You know that.
