@katelin.philips
after the fire, i talked to one of the firefighters on site. he said the fire started at the nurse's apartment and that the nurse was found dead inside. no cause of death known at the time, but they were already considering the fire suspicious. he said there'd be a full investigation soon.
i went to have another talk with him, together with marcos diaz. [ between her powers of emotional manipulation and marcos' truth inducement, they make a good team. ]
he's not involved in the investigation, but he's heard a thing or two. apparently someone was stockpiling carcasses of the smaller creatures that attacked in one of the other apartments. apparently people have been doing that, looking to resale the bodies.
not sure how useful that is, but i figure we're better off sharing whatever information we get, no matter how random. maybe we'll spot a connection or a pattern at some point.

You read anything interesting in my messages?
[ is he speaking with a fellow network creep? fitz has everything to hide, with a wealth of seemingly secret information obscuring the things that he most desires to keep to himself. ]
Yeah, yeah, of course.
But do you even know what you look like without a skinny tie?
[ fitz never wears ties. he used to every damn day, but now he's free to tease other people for his prior fashion choices. (also, yeah, he's a mamma's boy, what of it) ]
not here
i can't believe this]

Your proclivity for keeping things to yourself, some interesting things about virtual reality technology I'll discuss with you at a later date, ongoing weapons manufacturing projects for our allies, and so forth.
... Is there something wrong with my tie?
(pats it down self-consciously...)
no subject
I was only teasing.
The blue one suits you.
[ are they all blue send help.... he doesn't know how to be nice anymore ]
1/2 private
You don't have to tell me anything about it, Fitz, but any explanation for how I wound up in a foreign body is one I'll tirelessly pursue. Markus and my species are relying on my results.
I will continue to be open with you in hopes that you'll trust me with the information some other time.
/ private forever
I've talked through some of this with Markus. Of course I can do the same for you.
You're not my first androids.
[ it should be said that he notes a calculated element to connor splitting this reply into private and public. best not to underestimate the investigative android, isn't it? ]
SAME
What happened?
(he'd be lying if he said it wasn't worrying him already, not wanting to doubt a friend. but he has to know.)
no subject
It's complicated.
Can meet for a drink later, if you really want to know.
[ quick q: what are the ethical ramifications of ghosting a sweet android man ]
no subject
Yes, that'd be preferable. Inertia?
no subject
Yeah. It’ll be good to establish you more, anyway.

I used to have a few dark green ones, when I was the tie sort.
One red, but Jemma picked that.
[ "so i didn't wear it unless she asked me that morning why i never wear it" ]
This feels like a misaimed question.
[ ask literally anyone else, and they'll know more about fashion ]
no subject
I'm sure this will all tie in with the disguises we should wear when we go talk to your friends at the pub. Perhaps something dark, so we don't draw the eye...

They already know what I dress like at their events, but you're right that it's a departure from our usual preferences.
[ he may be a grandpa, but he is technically already in the gang xoxo. ]
I'll show you beforehand, if you want.
no subject
... Exactly what sporting events typically go on there?
no subject
I've done some mechanic work for the hoverbike races. Might be good to start there.

[Just his two cents, because he knows this will be read by the right parties.]

...
okay, no, he's not as surprised at this one.)
As the bridge between people's choices, I'd have to agree with you.

There are other shades of blue that I can suggest, too.
But nothing bold for the holiday season.

Thank you very much. I do have a preference for blue, but I am willing to expand my horizons.
Patterned?
no subject
dots or stripes, mostly
something more daring for christmas or so
no subject
I am fond of small dots. It's the polka dots that don't suit me.
What sort of Christmas pattern?
