hi, i'm just going to cut right to the chase here.

i'm currently within new amsterdam surrounded by a whole lot of people who look to be in a state of suspended animation. it might have something to do with the simulation i just woke up from. [ more like the simulation he was booted from, but technicalities. ] from what i'm confirming via the post our new bff cassius made, this is judas' handiwork.

well, i want to put an end to his twisted little group experiment as much as the rest of you, so i'm here to help. can someone give me a sitrep on what's happening on the outside right now?

and is anyone working on opening up the gates?

the simulation is currently being run via our neural implants, but i'm not reliant on mine. my physiology enables me to access it, along with other devices, externally, so when i tried to do just that, he kicked me out.

What can you tell us about the world "inside," so to speak?

Moreover, you may be the "inside man" that one of us was seeking, albeit far more equipped. After all, you're already there.

I'm trying to find out how the gates were opened in the first place. My cousin had explained it and given me some of her notes, but it doesn't make a lot of sense.

( which is saying something, given annabeth's expertise in shenanigans. )

From what others are reporting, it goes deeper than merely rousing them. Not that it's up to Tony to decide who needs a good slapping.

The U.N. has put out a statement to the world at wide that this is the work of Judas. Their soldiers seemingly ceased to function upon getting too close to New Amsterdam - though I imagine that has more to do with their neural implants. Prior events have led us to believe UNA soldiers are all connected through their implants, almost like a hive.

The New Amsterdam gate is inaccessible, but the rest are working just fine. Does this mean you are unable to leave from inside the city as well?

No. Just constant updates about staying calm, no mentions of deploying further troops. Naturally no mention that they were the ones who had Judas up until very recently.

New Amsterdam's gate is the only inaccessible ones. We are still seemingly trying to organize ourselves out here, but our numbers are much smaller than those who seem to be stuck inside. Focus seems to be on ending the simulation, though the big how continues to be a challenge.

Are you able to walk and move around the city itself?

Might we inquire into what you mean by suspended animation? Is it that their bodies are physically there but their minds, courtesy of the neural implant, are in the simulation? Have you tried moving someone's body? Can you get out of New Amsterdam?

yes, their bodies are physically here. it's only their minds that are trapped.

Terribly sorry, but can you explain what suspended animation means? And simulation? I would rather ask a fellow Displaced.

I see others have filled you in on the situation out here, but I fear opening the gates with those few of us left out here will fail.
