@xuanyu.mo
Hello everyone!
It’s been a long journey for some of us, and for others – it’s only just begun. But! I have good news for all. Myself, Lan Wangji ( @ wangji.lan ) and sometimes even Jiang Wanyin ( @ wanyin.jiang ) are offering ourselves up as mentors for those of you interested in diving into the realm of dreams and the subconscious!!! Hip hip hurrah, hip hip, hurrah!
The three of us are experienced in training that involves composing and controlling the subconscious, which, as we know, is the root of why we dream. And the Displaced have a connection, both among ourselves and to the world at large, through our dreams. When else do we receive things from our homes but when we wake up with it in our hands? I guess maybe our empathetic connection, funny magical chest-y objects and memory trade abilities could be part of it, but I’m unsure – guess we better explore it!
Those of us who have been around since, mm, October? know this for fact. For those of you who haven’t heard, or haven’t had a chance to go through our Newbie Guide – back in October, all of the Displaced fell asleep and into a mass-dreaming. It got me thinking… "hmm, you know what, we should do something about this". So, here’s the result of that thought.
WHO: Us! You! Mentors, mentees and the curious alike.
WHAT: Hehe, there’s no fancy title for it yet – we’re just calling it “dream training” for now.
It’s a monthly/bi-monthly workshop where we get together in groups and practice cultivating our dreaming states. In the dreams, we should be able to cut loose and train our new(er) powers as well, without worrying about being caught or destroying other people or things. There’s room for it to develop, but for now, our goals are as follows:
WHEN: Once? Twice a month? On a weekend? What’s best for the interested parties?
Anything else? I think I covered all the initial information. And in the words of a great sage from ages past: don’t let your dreams be dreams.
XOXO /( ÒㅅÓ)\
( OOC STUFF: Finally, dream training is a go??? Here's a link to the current metaplot engagement post, for all to see, as well as a link to the dream training page itself! )

In the dreams, we should be able to cut loose and train our new(er) powers as well, without worrying about being caught or destroying other people or things. There’s room for it to develop, but for now, our goals are as follows:
1. Practice dreaming together. This is to promote better control of the subconscious in the hope that, if ever we fall into another mass-dreaming, we can organize quickly and take advantage of it.WHERE: The safehouse! I can’t fit everyone in my apartment, after all. I think the safehouse is the best place for the moment, because it’d also let any of our fresh-faced arrivals access the training.
2. Train our powers! And train your mind, my potential students! Being aware of your dreaming state means you can control who’s allowed access, but also, you won’t be caught off guard and think your dream is real – I hope.
3. Um. That’s the main two goals I have right now. Anybody else have some we might be able to incorporate and work towards?
WHEN: Once? Twice a month? On a weekend? What’s best for the interested parties?

I remember you have experience with dreams. Or, er. "Sleeping worlds" was how you described them. Do you remember that conversation? I know it was a few months ago, but I'd love to revisit some older pieces of information and experiences.

[ you bet he saved the back-to-back answers from you both ]
Down to business, though. Have you ever experienced training of this sort before? Perhaps not necessarily dream-related, but anything that touches on the subconscious?

I'm going to get around to asking everyone, once interested parties start filtering in -- but what sort of results are you hoping to achieve from participating in the training? I'm naturally interested in knowing!

[ warm inflection, as one knows. ]
Our styles differ, but the results will be similar. Should you find yourself unsuited to one method, then you may work better with the others.
[ in other words, he'll add that little detail in. all training is fluid, after all. ]

[ honestly, it's more people than he thought would want to participate. ]
