I won't deny that.
Humans create shrines and temples. They purify yorishiro, and they provide the worship that allows a kami to increase their power. They're a necessity for gods of the earthly realm.

However. My master isn't in this world.
And I don't care about human lives, their society, or their problems.
So why would I invest anything in this place beyond what will get me back to her?

We seem to get stronger every time we get involved with what happens in this world. Every time we make it better or defend it, something beneficial happens for us.
If that's your end goaal, you can use that strength to get out of here and get back home.
