@stephen.strange
For those of you I haven't introduced myself to yet, my name is Dr. Stephen Strange.
The more recently arrived may not know but thanks to the generosity of Morningstar we own two buildings in New Amsterdam: one is the garage above the current safehouse and the other is a bar under the sports stadium in the city.
The latter we intend to open soon as Red Wings, a working sports bar, with a view to ensuring financial independence and security for us as a group going forward. It's been in the works for a while, will operate under the management of myself and [Bad username or site: clarke @ griffin], and we're looking for a staff.
We'll need bar staff and security for busier periods. We're aiming to create as much opportunity as possible, so if you're interested don't hold back on letting us know. There's no application, no bar work experience necessary, we'll just need to speak with you to figure out suitability and availability. If you're interested in a security position I need to stress that power use is absolutely out of bounds, so experience will be a little more important here.
If any of the more financially established of you can volunteer time or resources while we get this off the ground, that will also be appreciated. Any of you with significant Cooltalk followings, I'd like to talk about collaborating to help us hit the ground running.
Any questions, interest checks, etc, you can get in touch with me here or with Clarke or myself personally via direct message.

Mind if I swing by the place to scope it out? It'll be good to know the layout of what I'm working with.

[Action]
It still hasn't sunk in she has a job yet. She's not used to getting things when she asks for them (though how often does she really ask?). Sure, Cecelia had hired her on to Silver Chains real fast, but she'd already proved herself by protecting some of her employees. Here, she's untested, nothing but her word to go with. It feels dangerous, risky. The wrong person could ask for a job and do some harm by scoping everyone there out.
She could be that person. It's a job she can do, but Ginia knows it's a good place to get information. Build allies. There's already an interesting list of people looking for work or offering their services.
Ginia knocks on the door and sends a message over to Stephen Strange through the network. Can't talk, can't sign at someone not there.]

Hi, I'm outside. Should I let myself in?

[ She'll find him behind the bar, sorting through some snack samples. Buying in dried and salted insects seemed like a good idea at the time, when in Rome and all that, but seven months in and he still can't quite picture anyone wandering up to order a bag of peppered worms, please.
He raises his attention to her at the sound of footsteps, lifts a hand in greeting. ]
Come in.

It's a nice place. Sport bars aren't quite her scene, but she's been in enough of them and this sure looks like one too. She's still picking out all the sight lines, the best ways to move around, what areas might cause a bit of trouble. Her expression is a bit serious, but she puts on a polite smile as she sizes up the man behind the counter.]
Nice place. I guess you're my new boss?
[Ginia signs in smooth ASL, counting on the neural implant to handle all translations. A few people have known sign language and replied in turn, but it's still been a small amount.]

He has the good grace to look mildly sheepish once he realises seconds have passed. ]
That would be me, yes.
[ To look at her, to then see her speak, it would be easy to underestimate her. But he's met more than his share of people whose skill could be easily overlooked and who you underestimate at your own peril. He's been one. He's no intention of making that kind of an oversight. ]
Thanks for stopping by. Would you like the tour?

I'd love one. I like knowing the ins and outs of where I'm working.
[This side of the bar looks pretty good, but it's important knowing the service side of things too. It's incredibly easy sneaking into most places through kitchens or loading areas. Big enough staff and most people don't even blink an eye at another person in the right attire.]
