[ he does. he thinks it's absolutely something. though he didn't know it would become what it was, he just wanted to follow a trail that told him what he had sacrificed himself for in Zerzura. ]

We need to find out.
Spinetail and Meadowlark are both birds, that can't be a coincidence, either.

And still there are two birds unaccounted for.

( two projects, potentially. )

If the birds are symbolic of projects like Meadowlark and Spinetail, would it not be possible that they and the other two were working toward some larger goal?

( he keeps coming back to the number four. four birds. four points of the spear. perhaps four anchor points, but for what? )

Do we have any other hints aside from the number of birds?

I'm saying it's possible.
Though if Project Spinetail managed to exist in two worlds simultaneously it's just as likely that the other two birds could mean something quite different.

They were the same species, the birds.
Perhaps there is something in that.
