[ so, there's a lot going on lately, isn't there? after having been gone for a little while, marcos has been trying to catch up with everything that's gone on while he'd been away. it seems that the cassius thing is the big news and he has opinions on that but he's also got some other business to attend to. ]

so, i'm back. most people won't have noticed but if you did, i was gone for a little while, went home, got shot, came back, i'm fine.

[ long story short and all. ]

i know there's a lot going on and i'd hate to give people one more thing to think of but i'm gonna do it anyway. this is more an interest check than anything.

[ can't really move on anything now but with cassius looming like he is, it might be needed in the future. ]

there's a lot of people here that need help. and i want to help them. they've lost homes and needs safe places to stay, resources, that sort of thing. specifics will come later but i'm just trying to gauge if there's anyone out there that might want to do the same.

[ they couldn't all be soldiers and fighters and warriors, right? or maybe they could and marcos would go at it alone. that was fine too. he'd do it no matter what. ]

obviously, this could all be affected by whatever happens with these favors but i'm hoping cassius doesn't murder more people and call it 'necessary.' i'm not taking a favor, before anyone asks, but i can't fault anyone who does.

@ gaby, i'm back, by the way. i assume you might have noticed i was gone but i came back. seems like i did that to a few people. said something or promised something important and then disappeared. sorry.

surely we do. we haven't seen each other in so long. i'm at a rather seedy bar having a few drinks.

[ he probably shouldn't even be hanging out with you kol but he tugs his shoes on and makes his way out the door to whatever bar kol's taking up space in.

doesn't take him long to find it and kol and soon enough, he's taking a seat beside him, arms braced against the counter. ]

Now that you're here, there's only more fun to be had. ( he signals for the bartender to get marcos a bottle of beer to start with and he pushes his bowl of pretzels and nuts to the guy. isn't he a gem? )

So how goes your recruiting efforts, Marky darling? Are people interested to be self-sacrificing and helpful?

Yes.

[ and he was glad of that. he would have gone about it himself even without help but there had been people ready to help him and he's grateful. ]

Should I include you in that group even without the promise of a paycheck or something else material in exchange for your help?

If it means we'll spend more time together. Why not? ( kol's in a rather good mood. perhaps because he's just made a sweet deal that's going to secure him some funds. no need for him to get a job, CAROLINE! well, supposing it all works out for him. if not, he'll just vent his frustrations by murdering a few people for sport. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )

What are we going to do first? Build a shelter for the homeless? What about the stray animals? Are there stray kitty cats about? ( he's never noticed. )

I haven't exactly looked. [ so, they have that in common. ] Are you seriously going to help me because if you're just dicking around, I'm going to —

[ well, threats of violence won't work so he had to think outside the box. ]

I want your help, okay? I mean it. So, if you're serious, I'd appreciate the help. [ he could probably do a lot of good with the skills of a vampire. and having two of them helping him out would just be doubly beneficial. ]

( just a little lift of his eyebrows at that almost threat. that certainly would have been amusing. marcos well knows what he is. well, he supposes it's sometimes easy to forget considering he has such a pleasant face, especially now -- smiling and all. )

And I absolutely do want to help, darling. I wouldn't have brought it up otherwise. ( it's not as if he's got anything better to do anyways. so why not be a bit charitable? davina would be proud. )

So. What exactly are your plans? Are we going to scour the streets for the homeless? Set up a little soup kitchen?
