[ so, there's a lot going on lately, isn't there? after having been gone for a little while, marcos has been trying to catch up with everything that's gone on while he'd been away. it seems that the cassius thing is the big news and he has opinions on that but he's also got some other business to attend to. ]

so, i'm back. most people won't have noticed but if you did, i was gone for a little while, went home, got shot, came back, i'm fine.

[ long story short and all. ]

i know there's a lot going on and i'd hate to give people one more thing to think of but i'm gonna do it anyway. this is more an interest check than anything.

[ can't really move on anything now but with cassius looming like he is, it might be needed in the future. ]

there's a lot of people here that need help. and i want to help them. they've lost homes and needs safe places to stay, resources, that sort of thing. specifics will come later but i'm just trying to gauge if there's anyone out there that might want to do the same.

[ they couldn't all be soldiers and fighters and warriors, right? or maybe they could and marcos would go at it alone. that was fine too. he'd do it no matter what. ]

obviously, this could all be affected by whatever happens with these favors but i'm hoping cassius doesn't murder more people and call it 'necessary.' i'm not taking a favor, before anyone asks, but i can't fault anyone who does.

@ gaby, i'm back, by the way. i assume you might have noticed i was gone but i came back. seems like i did that to a few people. said something or promised something important and then disappeared. sorry.

i didn't take the favor he was offering but i know people that did and i'd like to make sure they come back in one piece.

Practice escape routes with them where you can. Plans. Know the best routes to the hospitals in the city.

New Beijing is ... it hides its corruption deep. Make sure to look for it. Go down and see how well it's hidden.

That corruption could help you all, though. If you need to hide or wait something out.

i've done the unsavory contacts kind of thing before so i know how it goes. end justifies the means.

but i'll spread the word about escape routes and figure out the best way to go about it when we're there.

and i'll see about making some contacts when i can.

See it less as contacts and more a trip of necessity. I'm not sure New Beijing's anyone can help us beyond the immediate moment. But it gives a horrible taste of the world.
