I think we should all meet up on a monthly basis to go over any useful information. Weekly is too much — I'm not looking for that kind of commitment. While this... correspondence can provide use, does anyone else feel more comfortable face-to-face? Not relying on this thing to discuss our secrets?

[ She doesn't understand it, really. Barely understands how to utilize it to communicate. So... here comes the challenge: showing her discomfort without feeling vulnerable. ]

I don’t think you will all fit in my (hopeful) future residence... perhaps someplace we can blend in? Some kind of dunning hall where large parties wouldn’t be given a second glance.

Hmm... There was one place that could do nicely... what do you know of “karaoke”?

Yes? I’ve seen large groups gathering in the wee hours - all dressed similarly in suited attire. It seems gatherings are common.

Would we have to wear similar attire?

I don't believe so... Would it be wise to dress up as if we all work together in the same place?

That would depend. It could as easily work against us as for us.

...So how foolish would we look for this, then? I'd rather come together under the assumption of friends.

Terribly, but in my experience the promise of free alcohol works wonders on soothing bruised egos.

Where would the fun be in that?

Regardless, it's a good idea. Perhaps by month's end we'll have something other than theories to share.

I hope so... I'm beginning to lose my optimism. Despite how much we pose a problem to Morningstar, it would be nice to find something on our own that would explain more. The city is so large, I feel we haven't even began to scratch the surface on why we're here.

Sadly my days of dancing on tables are far being me.

They'll make a mistake. Have already, perhaps. After all, someone had to have tipped Morningstar to that initial transport, even if the information was only partially correct.

I'm not use to... such a camaraderie. Even with the Witchers, I try not to burden them all. Had this idea came from anyone else, I'd certainly abstain.

Someone will always make a mistake, in the end. They get confident, get sloppy.

You were a Witcher? The word is unfamiliar to me.

Monster slayer for hire. There was once schools of them, but as with time it becomes rare to keep up fighting.

[ She's still youthful, not old like Geralt and Yennefer. The term had been explained plenty, but she still offers a quick explanation.]

Some monsters are easier to put down than others, I imagine.

[ it explains her competence when dealing with the crabs, as well. ]

Useful, though, having those skills; a place like this will likely have all manner of surprises.

We'll see. I'm not too well-versed in the other aspects of this world. The technology, the culture... at the very least the Gods were kind and threw me a bone with the creatures that invaded. THAT I do know how to handle.

Technology like the implant is something you will have to grow into with time, but the rest will be easier to learn, particularly through practice. The issue is finding the time and the means to do so.

As for the culture, that would be done through exposure and if anyone questions you tell them you're from one of the colonies.

I don't like it. It feels intrusive.

Right.. I've already had people look at my oddly for my scar — wondering why I didn't just repair it with some... medicine or some such. I've simply never been good at blending in.

That's because it is.

There are plenty of reasons to keep a scar. If they are unable to imagine one than it seems a lacking on their part more than yours.

I suppose. Everyone I've encountered seems to like "fitting in". Even the underground clubs... there's certain — looks?

I imagine that there would be. You are quite attractive.
