welcome back to all of us.
that was a pretty lousy month huh? or three days depending how you look at it.
i heard that some of the displaced who fell into their fake lives in zerzura still remember them really well.
i know what that's like because it happened to me for other reasons back where i'm from.

maybe i shouldn't offer advice since i didn't handle it very well myself at the time but if you're struggling with the fake memories i can tell you it'll be okay.
they don't really fade.
but you learn to let go of them.

now that we're back can someone tell me why everyone in new amsterdam is so excited about this solstice and christmas stuff.
what's a holiday?
and i thought christmas was a place but instead it's supposed to be a day?
i'm not the only one who never knew about this stuff, right?

yes and no.
i knew for sure what i'd really lived through and what was put in my head.
but i could still remember the fake stuff like it really happened. it still felt real.

but why is christmas a day now?
i saw the door to christmas town on a mission once but saix said there were no heartless there so we didn't need to bother going through.
it's not just a place?

( he's not really sure how to feel about that, truthfully. there was being under another's sway and then there was being so wholly absorbed by an illusion that you were unable to separate fantasy and reality. what's worse is that a part of him misses the false reality. misses the ease of it. )

i was six days into my summer vacation when i found out that everything in my life was fake.

[ Given that Roxas had been the one to snap Sora out of that fake life, he doesn't think that they need to talk about it again. It's true that Sora still has clear memories of the friends he'd had in Zerzura, of a family that consists of other Displaced, and it's hard to shake. But he doesn't need to put any of that on Roxas now.

Christmas Town is based on the holiday, Christmas! Halloween Town is the same -- Halloween is also a holiday.

christmas is a celebration where one has to prank another all day long. it's rather fun. the worst the prank, the happier you'll make that special someone. it's my favourite time of the year.

Did you have a terrible life in Zerzura? I'm not saying I enjoyed the forgetting-and-becoming-someone-else part, but it was rather interesting and everything did work out well. I think I was happier, but also weaker for it.

i mean-
i didn't lose all my memories. i almost did, but i snapped out of it before i lost myself.
so i was better off but i didn't like watching so many other people change.
