@stephen.strange (ic: nov 30th, mid-afternoon)
Good afternoon. To those of you I haven't met, I'm Dr. Stephen Strange, and I’ve been gone for a week or so. During that time, I returned to my life for a little over five years.
The details align with what Keith, one of us who's since disappeared, shared about his own return to his world. You can find that information here: Keith's return.
For anybody not yet up to speed on the topic, Fitz, another of us who's now absent, outlined a couple of working theories as to the nature of our presence here, our disappearances and reappearances, and the possible levels of involvement of the as yet unidentified organisation who handles us on arrival. I recommend reading his discussions with both Keith and myself for expansion on both ideas. You can find it all here: Fitz's theories.
He was also beginning to piece together some events, both seemingly natural and less so, and draw conclusions that might help us to unravel some of the mysteries in our lives. I didn’t follow up with him at the time, I should have. If anybody spoke with him in more detail about this I’d be grateful if you’d share. His summary of his research can be found here: Fitz's research.
As to my experience, to ensure we have as much information as possible to go toward identifying a pattern:
Once I was back within that reality I didn’t sense any disruption of time or of self and remembered nothing of my time here. I can infer that I must have returned back to the last moment I can recall before arriving here originally, but had no awareness of that having happened. Any block associated with the blue glow in our chests was absent and I had full access to all the power this place negates. There was no sign of the new abilities I have here, nor of the implant.
I woke in the bed I regularly sleep in with my chest aching.

I don't think they're legends. And they may be linked to us.

Anything mysticized by or unusual to this world is well worth looking into as potentially entwined with whatever anomaly we're a part of.

Experientially, yes. In reality, it's more that we've been removed from it.

@tony.redgrave
is it common for these disappearances to happen, and are you all forced to come back? or is that just a personal preference?
no subject
They're fairly frequent, yes. I don't know what the current figures are, but back in August there were 24 disappearances to 69 registered displaced. They come seemingly at random.
Not everyone who disappears returns, but as of yet nobody who does has had any say in that return or in how long they're away. Most people don't recall being gone. I've disappeared twice: the first time was just like going to sleep and waking up, only I was absent for two weeks and my chest was burning. The second time is this.
Neither of them involved a conscious intention to disappear or to come back.

I did not speak to him, but I have learned about these significant outages as well. I apologize if this turn of conversation is not about your experiences with leaving and returning, but it is still relevant.
I have reason to believe we, as the Displaced, may have been here on this planet already during the September 2510 earthquake - or possible EMP. If not all of us, perhaps some of us. I think I was.
You are an actual medical doctor, correct? Daisy has mentioned so.

There's a chance things might change if we achieve some level of control over our situation, but I wouldn't count on it. We haven't got anything to go on yet besides what we already know.
