i've been wondering recently, even more now with what was at that building cassius pointed us to, how many people here aren't from earth originally?
i've only mentioned this to a few people because, at first, i wasn't sure how safe it would be to have it be common knowledge. but since you can find it if you read back far enough i might as well say it: i'm an alien.
i'm originally from a planet called krypton. it's gone now and so home for me is earth in my universe. i look human on the outside, but my anatomy is pretty different on the inside, especially on a genetic level. knowing that, i've got so many questions about the people who brought us here and experimented on us, put the implants in our heads. especially if i'm not the only one like that. i'm probably not going to get answers to those questions any time soon, but if people are willing to share, i'd like to know how many of us aren't exactly like the humans here. how many of us may have been surprises when they opened us up.

I'm out of the storytelling business, but this is what we are taught in our cradles:
In the beginning, the Earth was alone. And so she created the sun, and he was the first god, but he went away, and left the Earth, and promised to send light during the day.
But at night the Earth was still alone, and so she took the edge of herself and created the moon. The moon promised to send her light at night, but the moon's promises are worth nothing, and she sent only part of her light and sometimes forgot entirely. And so the Earth breathed, and created the Sky, and he promised to stay with her always. They had many children together, first the mountain ranges, and then the great oceans and the middle sea, and lastly the two great rivers Seperchia and Skander.
I haven't been able to find those, here. Not even in the histories.

I wish I had a better answer.

I'm from Earth, 24XX. We're pretty advanced, but we haven't met any aliens.
[Except for one but Sniper's not counting Jehovah Mason under alien just yet.]

how in-depth an answer do you want?

He was kind of the same: looked humanish on the outside, completely different on the inside. He's since disappeared though.

i know it's rough when people we know here disappear
no subject
( ish. it's hard, but he's managing. )
But anyway: I'm from Earth. I'm a mutant, so not a regular human but still human. But my boyfriend back home is Kree/Skrull, and my friend who was here was an ex Kree soldier. And then there's Loki and Thor, Asgardians.
So I'm sure there were a lot of surprises when they started playing doctor on us.

@roxas.sky
is that a big deal?
i've been to a bunch of worlds before so it would seem weirder to me if we all came from the same one
no subject
an important backwater?
a lot of stuff seems to happen to various earths
and that's the planet we're on now
what kinds of worlds have you been to?

I'm from a place called Destiny Islands. I'm nothing like the people here, though. I have magic back home, and a special source of power that's unique to me alone. And another power that's still unique, but less so.
I don't think I look different genetically, though. A lot of science back home has to do with hearts, and Light and Darkness. I don't think anyone can do something like that here.
no subject
but the way you say Light and Darkness with capitals
it means more than just the spectrum of visibility, doesn't it?

@sora.sky
What does it mean to be different on a genetic level? Does it matter if you look the same on the outside?
no subject
i don't have the same internal organs or structure that humans do
so when they did surgery to put the implant in and... whatever else they did to us before dropping us in new amsterdam
i would've had a seriously different make-up than what the doctors and scientists were probably expecting
does that make sense?

not a very inventive name for a planet, if you ask me
do your genetics mean you heal faster?
