I apologize for the ungainly, public method of dispersing this information, but I'll admit to not knowing everyone it may matter to.
Noctis Sky, as he was known on the network, has disappeared.
For those who may be new and not understand this: Our existences here are occasionally unstable. We cease to exist for periods of time. Sometimes we return. In at least one instance, we return with memories and physical changes from our homes, as though we experienced a length of time in our own world before returning.
To my knowledge, there is no pattern or reasoning behind it. I'm sure there are those who have been here uninterrupted since Morningstar brought the collective refugees together, and possibly those who don't linger a tenth of as long.
That's the extent of my information about the phenomenon. If anyone has any questions or other experiences, please feel free to let me know.

[ worth saying, even if she didn't know him. losing people sucks. ]
we're in the process of putting together a more reliable check-in system, but for now, this map is what we're working with.
get a buddy, check in with them. as often as you can. check in on the map if you feel comfortable.
when i disappeared, @leo.fitz saw my pin flickering. at the time, we didn't know what it meant, but we do now.
if people check in more often, we might be able to figure out how these disappearances happen, and hopefully prevent them in the future.
no subject
Of course: This was put together for the UNA attacks, correct? I'll admit to being guilty of not checking in on it myself.
The flickering is an interesting point, though. As though the disappearance is a process, as opposed to an instantaneous change.
So we have any information on the items that may have been found from our homes? I know many have woken up with a possession. Do these linger once the person leaves, or are they gone with them?
no subject
[ her necklace. she'd worn it to sleep, and she'd woken up with it on. ]
i don't know enough about the disappearances to say for sure why the pins flicker, but we're working on it.
the more information we can get our hands on, the better.
my hope is to try and put together a system where we'll be aware as a group when these disappearances happen in real-time, rather than hours or days later.
if you have any suggestions, feel free to send them my way.

I'm sorry, Ignis. Is there anything I can do for you?
no subject
No. But the intention is appreciated.
I hope I didn't preempt Prompto's informing you. ['cause you know he's unreliable about giving bad news]
no subject
Prompto informed me a few days ago. We’ve both lost people close to us, so if you change your mind, please don’t hesitate to let me know. I understand it isn’t easy.

@ardyn.sky
Oh, Noctis. As unreliable as ever. Off he goes, into the aether; home to Eos? Who knows. I suppose neither of us will ever find out.
Though I imagine you've more free time on your hands now that he's gone. A means for celebration!
no subject
You know nothing about Noctis. Despite all your claims and theatrics about your future or prophecies, or your constant, pathetic laments of persecution at the hands of the world, you know absolutely nothing of the man Noctis is, nor does anyone here care about whatever twisted description you choose to come up with in response.
Whatever poisons you wish you spew, do it elsewhere.
no subject
Or are you going to argue the fact that he’s gone while we remain? That we’ve no idea if he’s ever to return? That you will have an inordinate amount of free time with no one to wait on, hand and foot.
You’re upset, understandably so. But no reason to take it out on me. I’ve done nothing.

I'm sorry.
Sky was one of the good ones.

[He was able to just be normal here and he had friends and hew was so happy and sure maybe he hadn't actually needed Ignis here anymore and that kind of hurt, but-- he'd been content here, right?]
But regardless, we still don't understand the mechanisms of our apparent transience here, so who can say what will happen going forth.

[ It still feels like a loss to him. But Damian works in absolutes. ]

I'm sorry about your friend. But it sounds like there's a chance he might come back, right? You probably want to make your way back to him instead, though, huh? If he went home.
no subject
That is, admittedly, my ultimate goal here. To find a method of returning home, but with the information and experiences gained from here intact. However, that seems to be quite a long ways away from being achieved.
But you aren't wrong. There's no way of knowing if or when anyone may return. Or in what condition they may be in.

And this one, little question, he has no idea how to answer. Because it's entirely too personal and this is entirely too public. So of course his response will be private.]

It seems to be, for the most part, they simply vanish. And there doesn't appear to be any abduction involved, so I'm certain it's not actively triggered. It's possible we all have something of a half-life here.
