...it could be anything.
When you discover yours I hope it is something you like very much. Something exciting, but in the good sense of the word.

Thank you. I hope the same for you.

Thank you, too. My name is Sansa. :-)
[It's easy to forget that's ...readily seen now. She's no longer anonymous.]

[nill doesn't mind, and she's more than happy to introduce herself in turn:]
I'm Nill. (:

It was. 💖 I'm sad, but I'm sure almost all of us are sad. And it won't bring her back, I don't think.
Will you tell me if you find out what your power is? I'll tell you

I will. Maybe we can practice them together. Maybe both of us being new to it will make that better. 💖

You know the little faces and pictures! 💖 :-) It takes some getting used to, viewing them, making them from my ...head. (?)
no subject
I do. I learned how to use them where I was before here. 💖 It makes communicating easier I think. And more fun. But I know what you mean. The first few times I tried it just typed "heart." But now I can do most of them. 🐱 🐇 🥝 🍰

What is that little green one? I've never seen it before. Is that last one a cake?
no subject
It's a kiwi, which is a fruit. And yes, the last one is cake!

It's much different! To do this in the mind instead of pressing all the little keys by hand. It might prove easier than using a device once I get the hang of it. Did they do this with a little device in your world, or was it more like these mind-implants that we have now?
(We didn't do it at all, if we couldn't say it in person we wrote out the letters by hand with parchment and ink and sent them by raven.)
I've never seen that fruit before. Have you found one here? I wonder if there are lemons here. I can't believe I haven't thought to look. :-x

It was a handheld device, so I got really good at typing. I used to write notes, too. I've never seen a raven. It's a bird, right? What is it like?
No, but I look all the time at the market. There are probably lemons. Do you eat them like other fruit? I know they have a rind but I've never had one. I think you have to peel it off, like you peel the skin of a kiwi.

Have you seen a crow before? They're just as black, but larger and very smart. I could say that I had one for a pet for a number of years, but I think it's more the other way around. His name was Pitch and he was annoying and loud and full of mischief, but I miss him.
Sometimes he'd shout the worst words, and almost always at the worst times.
Maybe we might find both fruits there! I've never bitten into a lemon like I might an apple, but if you peeled off the rind I don't see why you couldn't. But it's very tart. I'm not sure I could find a way to make lemoncakes here (food is markedly different and it's not as if I can wish for things and they appear), but I bet I could manage lemonsweet!
You know, we might be able to make kiwi juice, too. Is it a very sweet fruit?
I was awful with the devices when I first tried. I mostly spoke into it, or used it for recorded movement. My typing was dreadful for ...years until I had to rely on it, solely. I don't know if I ever would have found all the little pictures if not for some very persistent, patient and knowledgeable teachers.

He sounds like a neat bird. I've never seen a crow, but I can imagine a big bird with black feathers.
I could help with lemoncakes. I'm good at making recipes work when you don't really have all the ingredients you might need. A lot of the food I had on the ship was freeze-dried which made it work differently than fresh ingredients.
I thought it was sweet. Juice might be good.
I'm glad you had those teachers. I had to have a few who helped me learn to write better once I left my world. Without them I don't think I could have communicated at all.
she'll get to the rest but !!!!!
Are you a space traveler too?
[Well, she does have wings...]
haha it's understandable

This might sound strange or be too personal a thing to ask, but did you just wake up there? One moment you're in your own world and the next you're there, with ...others?
no subject
Did that happen to you?
no subject
Yes. Three times before this. And the first time I think I fell through my portal-door (it was called The Door) but I've no idea how I passed through the two that followed. Or this one.
I've known others it's happened to, but not many. I don't think it's that common.
I never thought about what food might be like on a ship like that. That would make everything different when trying to cook. (I'm better than I was, but have a lot of room for improvement, and I've no idea what I'd do with things that were frozen and then dried.)
That's a ...long time to be in a place. I'm sure you made very many friends.
[That she would have had to leave behind. :( ]

I went through the Ingress a lot to visit other worlds, but it was always the same door. It always led back to the same place.
There was a lot of freeze-dried food. We had a garden and got some vegetables and fruit, but not enough.
I did, and I learned a lot from them.
[it's still a raw wound that she isn't yet willing to revisit, but it gets better every day, especially with heine here :c]
