Hey. There's a lot of old information on this, and that's great. Really. But it's also a l o t for newcomers to try and sift through. There was some talk of a guide, which would be awesome? Even if it's just a basic rundown of world stuff that isn't the wiki-ish pages of the internet that just assume we know crap, it'd be helpful.

Back home, I was on a team called the Young Avengers. We went on a multiverse jumping spree for several months, so this isn't my first rodeo. It is the first place I've been to where we woke up with our abilities locked away and given new ones. Super weird btw, I'm not fond of it. As someone who already went through the whole "traumatic event waking up your mutant powers" thing, I'm not up for round two. But it means I've got some history with jumping around to different places.

I've got a place outside the safe house already, but it's not really a space meant for more than one or MAYBE two people, and we've got three. So if anyone has ideas for an easy job to get into for new arrivals, let me know? Disclaimer: I've never had an actual job before. And I didn't have much of an idea of what to set up an ID with since, I really don't have any experience doing workforce things.

Although I do have a question of my own, if you don't mind. The rest of your post has piqued my curiosity — where are you from?

Earth, 2013. I can explain deeper if you have specific questions about it, but differentiating Earths gets a little complicated.

I've read a few explanations regarding the multiverse since being brought here. Believe me, I understand the complication. I'm wondering how you managed to traverse realities more than the fact they exist. Our being here is enough evidence of that, but no one is quite sure how we arrived in the first place.

A friend of mine can kick her way through the fabric of reality? She was born in a different universe.
I never asked for specifics. It's just an ability she has.

Well, given that we were all granted abilities, I suppose there's no ruling out that they could have someone on their side mucking with things.

I could pass mine on to someone else if I wished for it.
The how here is what gets me.

That's remarkable. And you haven't been able to tap into your magic since arriving here? Has that ever happened to you before?

I've had inhibitors collars put on me before and other stuff but it wasn't anything like this.
Here, I can feel it and reach for it but it just hurts and nothing happens.

The tech could be more advanced than any of us have experience with. But that's a difficult theory to prove if we don't know what we're looking for or how to look for it.

I tried to use mine, it hurt my chest.
A LOT.
Like, enough that I vomited from it. And it glowed bright blue.
So if we're looking for something to look into, probably start there.

Yes, I don't think anyone has gotten any closer to an answer regarding the glow in our chests. Using our abilities activates it and so does the bond between the displaced. Has anyone explained it to you yet?

Enough for me to kind of understand.
